  • Re: Bug: Hebrew word order reversed when pasting into Word

Hey Francis, Good ideas. So I tried the export features. When sending to a word document or rich text (an open one, or create new), it copied the words in the correct order. However, it didn't include the glosses or parsing. When saving as a PDF, it looks just like the on screen version. That is, correct ordering with parsing and glosses. So word order

Hey Charles, Hmmm, it seems Word is lacking in that. Interestingly, tho, it DOES paste in the correct order if I use Rich Text or from another source. So the problem is a little more involved, since it works some ways but not others.

Hey Dave, that was a pretty funny experiment. On Word, with Hebrew text in the clipboard, "Paste and Match Style" pops up the paste options box so I tried them all: As HTML and default, you get all the goodies with the words backwards. With RTF the words are in the correct order, but no goodies. With unformatted and 'styled' the words no goodies, but

Hey Francis, Good ideas. I tried them all, but no go. I switched the language of the paragraph and I switched the keyboard to Hebrew. However, that didn't have any effect. I cannot find a word order option for the Mac version of Word. I see it in the online help for the Windows version, but RTL isn't on the Mac version. I also tried pasting into Pages

Thanks George, but not really what I'm looking for. A want to have the parsing and gloss available in the word doc. I can't find a way to do that with AFAT and friends. Oddly, the interlinear is in the correct Hebrew order. It's on the paste that it reverses.

  • Bug: Hebrew word order reversed when pasting into Word

I'm experiencing this same issue in Logos 5 (5.2 SR-4): http://community.logos.com/forums/p/17925/134800.aspx#134800 The copy/paste feature for the LHI is just great. It shows the glosses and parsing just fine. However, it reverses the word order when pasted. The picture in the previous post shows the situation perfectly. Is there anyway to achieve

  • Re: BUGS: Font Sliders again... (TOC, various dropdowns)

Thanks Mick, It's built into Mac's ADA support. I tried that out, but unfortunately it just makes the existing pixels bigger. Which don't have the detail to be of any use, magnified or not. You can see what I mean in the attachment. Thanks for the idea tho. Steve

Notice this example. The English title "Luke 11:1" is actually legible. It's small, but workable. Now look at the Hebrew word in the search box. Do you see the dagesh in the yod? How about the vowel under the resh? What's that under the mem? The TOC is slightly more legible, but not really readable. I don't really need to increase the size of EVERYTHING

Using 'Program Scaling" is just one implementation option. However, for a couple of fields it is not necessary. One could just increase the font size in a field or 2. Might drive the UI artists into a tizzy, but that's life. I've been a software engineering manager/architect for many years. I understand how we can get locked into 'one right way' thinking

Oh that's a bummer. Can you please bump up the priority, or cast a vote or something. I don't want to change religions (Mac to PC) just to get readable text

Thanks fgh. Yeah I guess I have to consider this a bug. I'm using Logos in my Hebrew class. I went with the Logos DBD instead of the print copy. I thought it would be more handy. However, the lookup/search window is near useless and the tiny TOC is painful. Every time I can't find something I have to retype - I can't read it to see if I have a typo

  • Re: Hebrew Font size for BDB Table of Contents and search

Hahaha - you makin' fun of my age Unfortunately, I am wearing them. Seriously, characters are really tiny. For English it's workable. However, as you know Hebrew fonts are by necessity smaller to make room for the markings and still fit in the same line height. So the same font size in Hebrew is actually small than that font in a latin character set

  • Re: Hebrew Font size for BDB Table of Contents and search

Thanks George, That is helpful, but I would still like to see what I'm typing. The trouble is not just vowels. Even the letters are so small it is impossible to distinguish ה, ח, ת.

  • Hebrew Font size for BDB Table of Contents and search

Yo, The font size for reading resources (such as Brown-Driver-Briggs) is adjustable and that's a great thing. However, the font size in the TOC and search/page number window is crazy tiny small on my Mac, no chance of reading vowel markings. Is there anything we can do?

Yeah! Option 2 fixed it. Strange symptom, but easy fix. Thanks. It was driving me nuts during lecture. Steve

Thanks Alabama, That's exactly what is missing (the whole bar from the back arrow to the 'information' icon). I've tried swiping all sorts of directions and I can't get it back. Any ideas? Steve

  • Table of Contents missing on iPad

This has to be just me, but I can't find the table of contents for books any more. I used to touch the screen and the menu would appear on the bottom "Home Library ...." On the top of the screen was a menu with a table of contents link among other things. That top menu is gone. How do I switch verses or get to the TOC for other books? Thanks Steve

  • Re: Copy from Logos to Keynote

Alabama24, I was able to use the screen capture idea and then crop the picture in Keynote. All in all it works. Sometimes you have to rough it - hahahahha. Power isn't always available where I'm headed. I picked up a little recharge battery. I'll have 20 hours of power for the iPad. Can't quite get that on the macbook. All in all, I really happy with
