• Re: Windows 10 and Logos Application in Windows Store

Agreed, I'd like to hear something positive from Logos regards to Windows 10 and their app and application. But I must say, that after all this waiting, I'm starting to think Logos is not interested in supporting the users like ourselves. If they drag their feet through Windows 10 as they have been doing before, I'll have to look at alternatives for

There are no heat issues with my Surface Pro 2."
Dead wrong, me? Michael, this is getting old. No insult meant. I love my Surface Pro. So I'm not insulting your SP2 or denying your
Joshua, I have been so disappointed to read of all the problems you first generation Surface Pro has given you. When one sacrifices to purchase a tool for ministry, it is disappointing for the end result to be so frustrating. Personally, I could probably live with the 3.5 hour battery, but the heat and the problems just

Hi JoshInRi, Instead of the selling the Surface Pro or upgrading to the SP2, save yourself some aching by adjusting to your revolutionary product. I never use the tablet flat on my lap, as it sounds like you do. It's not ergonomic. Because of your specific issues, I would advise against it. I'd like to reframe this issue and the uses based on the form

Dear JoshInRi, your heat issues are surprising. According to the extensive review of the Surface Pro at NotebookCheck.net, the temps never becomes unpleasant. My experience agrees. Here are some quotes to compare between the original SP and the SP2. http://www.notebookcheck.net/Review-Microsoft-Surface-Pro-Tablet.90881.0.html The Microsoft Surface Pro

I can get about 5-7 hours. :) It's never is hot. Never above 37 decibels even under full load, and actually keeps its full clock speed under multi-threading because of the active perimeter venting combined with its magnesium case for passive cooing. http://www.allthatnerdystuff.com/2013/10/21/how-to-optimize-microsoft-surface-pro-battery-life/ Follow

  • Microsoft Surface Cover - Freedom Case

Grace, mercy, and peace, Using my Surface Pro is great with Logos. I only wished it had multiple angles. My current setup is to have multiple monitors with my 24" behind, slightly above, but centered with my Surface Pro. That let's me multi-task, with multiple books and guides. With the smaller screen, I like the Surface closer, tilted up towards me

One more expensive and difficult to find option: The Asus Transformer Book. http://www.asus.com/vivo/en/transformerBook.htm It has extra storage via 500GB Hard Drive and battery (thus stabilizing weight) in the dock. The screen is bigger. Like the Yoga 13, it's physically more of a laptop than a tablet. Sadly, the price and unavailability makes this

It touch type 95 words per minute accurate on the Type Cover, which has real mechanical keys. I use shortcuts all the time, so it works as good if not better than most keyboards. The short travel keeps it relatively quiet too. When folded backwards, because it is a cover, it automatically shuts off the keyboard, to prevent accidental presses. But it

Joshua, I suggest you may want to move on from the Surface Pro and look at other options. While it may convince you it's worth, it's not worth spending too much time regretting and thinking about it. The stylus is brilliant and underlines very well. I can underline with the stylus, then use my finger to swipe to another page. I love having super-powered

For a thorough review of temps: http://www.anandtech.com/show/6695/microsoft-surface-pro-review/7 I never notice the heat terribly. I usually use it on my lap or on a table when doing serious computing. When I use it in my hand is consumption, not production. For example, I preached for a little over 20 minutes palming the Surface Pro, sliding up a

With my great Nokia Lumia 920 in hand, I'm happily selling my iPhone. Windows Phone and Surface Pro will be a great combo for mobile Logos. Please focus on the Windows Phones, because it will be very useful for ministry to have Logos across Desktop, Laptop, Tablet, and Phone.

I purchased the Surface RT for my wife. It's a great tablet, but I am excited for the Logos app to show up soon. For the time being, running Biblia in Internet Explorer (the MX version) when online is rather pleasant. It's easy to scroll down a page. For myself, I'm getting the Surface Pro to be my main computer. Running full logos on a 1080p screen

Today I plugged my convertible Tablet into the 47" LCD, experimenting with just one monitor. It's great to have on screen multiple windows, quickly switched and organized. Logos worked. Metro apps snapped rapidly, while simultaneously on the same screen, I had Logos and other programs snapped and swapping. The problem is there are alternatives that

I multitask with both Metro and within the Desktop app. Metro allows you to snap windows, just like Windows 7 and Logos, given one has enough resolution. I'm sure you do. As a tablet, the HP TM2 has a resolution of only 1280 x 800, which is not enough for the aforementioned Metro snapping. Yet, with the excellent waacom digitizer (the floating sort

You've made some great points of the usability of Windows 8. It's amazing, making me really enjoy my HP TM2 again. Being a convertible laptop, it's got the best of both worlds with touch screen and keyboard, yet transforms into a tablet with a twist of the screen. Right now I'm installing Logos on the Windows 8 Release Preview. I hope to see how compatible

That would make sure I buy more books as Logos, not Kindle. I love that the Kindle reads outloud, so I borrow my wife's e-reader. This would be a huge advantage over other readers and other bible apps! Please put it on the planned upgrade path. :)
