1) May I ask what your source is? 2) If it were true (and the company in question happens to be a Greek word for "word" that starts with an "L" and end with an "S" ), would anyone be interested in buying my library - I would be going back to books!
Anyway, pastor mentioned this and I do not know if Logos or BW does this or not.....would it show the 6 different cases of Genitive? is that determined from the text? I have seen that genitive is possession. son of .....How would one see the different types of genitive.
I am not sure what your pastor friend is

I am a Lutheran Pastor (WELS) who has and uses both. The strengths of Bibleworks are the speed and premium exegetical resources you get for the price. The weaknesses are the "aesthetics" and limited library (although - having a limited library does allow a person to spend more time with the text). The strengthens of Logos 5 are the Library, interconnectivity

I used mine to buy the IVP OT Dictionary Bundle for the Pentateuch and Historical books. It is already on sale and the coupon dropped the price to $49.12 for the set. I think that was a good deal Thank you for the discount, logos.

What version of Logos do you have? If you have Logos 4 or 5 (with the NIV'11), why not set up the NIV'11 reverse interlinear in a parallel column next to the NIV'84. Save the layout. Use your NIV'84 as normal, and if you have to look up a word, look it up under the NIV'11, which you have set up right next to it and linked together.

I would definitely welcome and use an "export to Kindle feature". Of course it would be more usable if it allowed highlighting and notes - or just simply highlighting. - but I will take what I can get.

Acts 1:16: ἄνδρες ἀδελφοί . . . Literal translation: "Men, brothers. . ." NIV 11: "Brothers and sisters " NIV 11 Footnote: " The Greek word for brothers and sisters ( adelphoi ) refers here to believers, both men and women, as part of God's family; also in 6:3; 11:29; 12:17; 16:40; 18:18, 27; 21:7, 17; 28:14, 15." In regard to this verse the NIV text

Maybe Logos could enable to "Speak Selected" already in iOS. It works well when I read stuff off of Biblia.com in Safari.
-
I just discovered "Speak Selection" under General/Accessibility in the iOS settings menu. It allows my iPad to read to me whatever text I select in "Pages" or Safari. It is far more user friendly than "Voice Over"- if you just want to listen and read at the same time. "Speak Selection" works well with Biblia.com, but it is not enabled in the Logos app

Donnie, Such a product does no exist yet, but the CNTTS and Editio Critica Maior come close to what you ideally want through their apparatus'. This website is useful is you want to access the New Testament texts: http://www.csntm.org/manuscript Logos sells the "The Text of the Earliest New Testament Greek Manuscripts" which you might be interested in
-
The NA27 with apparatus offers most of the information in the appendices, but does not have the appendices (In other words, the information is in the tagging, but you can not look at a list of witnesses like you can in the print version.) It also does not contain much of the preface material you would find in the print version. As mentioned before,
Any advice on what would be the best resource for a critical apparatus for the Greek NT? I was thinking about getting the NA27 with the critical apparatus but for $100 i thought there might be something better.. any suggestions?
It depends what you want 1) The UBS 4 Greek New Testament is a good translators/pastors

The price is great - especially for such a great series. The Old Testament books have been very highly recommended in the Wisconsin Lutheran Quarterly - consistently rated: "best commentary for the Pastor's Library." I see that it is very, very close to going into production.
-
Bump (Because I really want to see this go into production)
-
For Revelation, a little known gem (hence not on Logos yet) is Siegbert Becker's, Revelation: A Distant Triumph Song (NPH). Luther Poellot's Revelation (CPH) is suppose to be great as well (I have it, but haven't read it yet.)
-
The People's Bible from NPH and Concordia Commentary series is what I would suggest. They are both available on Logos.
-
The lack of cross references is a major reason I have not jumped on the SESB package yet. If I have to keep my paper version of the NA27 open to see them, what's the point in getting the electronic edition at a premium price?
-
I am happy with the sale. I got the existing Concordia commentaries at "very close" to the prepub price: $32.24/vol. I have never seen Concordia stuff for Logos go on sale, so I am a happy camper. Now, If we can just get the excellent Ezra/Nehemiah commentary to change status in prepub. . . .
-
Yes, you are missing quite a lot. The minimum cross grade is approximately $150 for the new datasets. If you want to new resources with those data sets, check the various "packages" for the resources you want. The titles -bronze, silver, gold, platinum, etc. . . are meaningless. They only show the "amount" of resources and not necessarily the quality

1. Concordia Commentary Series 2. People's Bible Commentary Series 3. "Besser Bibelstunde"
