• Re: English Bible Collection (In program, not resource set)
Not really. There's isn't some field to use to include only popular full Bibles. My Bible collections have all been manually edited. Some are a combination of rules and includes/excludes, and some are just a list of includes.
Gotcha. I'll just manually do it then. Thanks everyone.
It's working correctly. Those resources are all type Bible. Many are single book translations done by a commentary author, but they are still considered Bibles even those they are partial Bibles. You can drag the ones you don't want in the collection to the area labelled "Minus these resources".
I knew it was working
I think I better understand your OP now. You want a collection that just shows maybe the ESV, NASB, NIV, KJV, etc. As I understand you you want this for the purpose of comparing the text of a passage. If that is the case a collection would not be your best method. Better would be the Text Comparison tool https://wiki.logos.com/Text_Comparison

  • English Bible Collection (In program, not resource set)

I'm trying to create a collection in Logos for English Bibles so I can compare different translations. Unfortunately, I haven't figured out a rule set to accomplish this fully. Below is what I currently have. As you can see, there are resources in there that are not just normal English Bible translations. Does anyone have a better rule set? Or do I
I'd scan what I was getting in each even though you'd have to open two browser instances to do so. There should be only a few resources you might not get that are in Extended by going with Gold, so check for them: Hi-def commentary on Philippians, and Spurgeon commentary on Galatians are probably two of them. I imagine you

Has anyone compared the Extended Crossgrade to Logos 6 Gold? Unfortunately, they're in separate categories on the Logos site, so it's hard to compare them. The upgrade price for me for L6 Gold is maybe like $10 more than the Extended Crossgrade, so I'm wondering which one would be the better purchase for being roughly the same price.
Which size would be better for LOGOS?
Since you asked about size in particular, I'd say the larger the better for Logos. Logos is an application that will make use of all the screen space that you have. The more real-estate you have, the more resources or tools or whatever you can have open, with enough room to read the

  • BUG: ESV test size won't change

Whenever I change the resource text size in the preferences, the ESV won't change. Other resources that I've tried change, but not the ESV. Restarting Logos 5 didn't do anything. I don't know if there are other resources with the same problems or not amongst those I didn't try. Pictures below.

I'm running a new 2013 MacBook Pro with Mavericks, and I haven't noticed that at all. I've had Logos 5 running for several minutes now. Indexing a really small item looks like the first picture below. Sitting idle at the home page, without me doing anything, looks like the second picture.

That would be good news then. I still have to buy a kindle though, lol. And, as I think about it, it might be worth the wait until this feature is added anyway. The desire is that one could read Logos books on kindle without much trouble and in an economical way. Spending a lot of time and effort converting books just to be able to read them on a kindle

Definitely interested! This would be great. I've been debating getting a tablet of some kind to be able to read books on, but haven't because of price, preference to laptops for portable computer use, not wanting a nice tablet just for reading, etc. I would probably purchase a cheap kindle paperwhite just for reading if you created this feature. That
Stuff
You totally missed the premise of what I was saying. And your insinuation that I am immature is rude and unnecessary, especially since you don't know me at all and completely failed to understand what I was saying. Also, what is even more offensive is your insinuation that I am "throwing what if's" at the OP to deviate
Agreed; Paul is clear on desertion. But what is not clear about Matthew 19? If a spouse commits adultery, the other spouse is free to divorce and possibly remarry. They do not have to, but they are allowed to. What am I missing? I am not asking that in a smug or sarcastic manner. What is a different interpretation of that passage

The "blatant" situation of adultery is only blatant if you think it is. That passage (Matthew 19:3-9) is certainly not as easily interpreted that way as many might think. Desertion, however, Paul did make clear. Abuse is very heartbreaking. Yet, even as you said, there is no direct or explicit biblical support for divorce because of abuse, regardless

Anyone know or have experience with what happens if you buy a book on sale like Carson's Commentary on the New Testament Use of the Old Testament for $15 and then decide to go for a collection where the price per book in the collection is actually greater than the individual book's sale price? For instance, the Baker Hermeneutics Collection comes to
Sorry buddy, but that's a carnal mindset. A lot of things are the "rage" these days, but as Christians we must abstain from them because they are simply not lawful for us to engage in them. Remember, we live in this world but we are not of the world. It amazes me how many "religious groups" have bought into the idea that they have
