Attempted the system restore to undo the last Logos installation. It returned a "file in use" error and was unsuccessful.

4428.windows event log.txt 4 Attached. I separated individual entries with ------- . I may try a system restore to see if that produces any results.

Helpful! --- attached. logos and logoserror.log, along with cef.log, are the ones dated today. 0003.contentsoflogoslogfilesdirectory.zip

I just downloaded (I assume) - the Sophocles collection (4 vol.) and perhaps something else (114mb) and now I crash on startup. Ctrl - work offline produces the same result. I've attempted to run the rerun the installer, but it says everything is up to date. Suggestions? I'd include the log files, but I'm unsure where to find that. Compose Thanks!

Wound up going a different route. I have subsequently upgraded to L6. Instead of doing a clean install I used Paragon's Migrate OS tool to move my existing OS partition over to the new drive. Seamless. I even downsized my drive to fit the 256g SSD. Appreciating the new zippiness.

Thanks for the tip. https://wiki.logos.com/Quick_Installation_onto_multiple_computers --- I'll explore this link and report back the results.

I'm migrating my OS (Win 8.1) to an SSD. It will be a clean install. I'm wondering if I can manually move my resources over, like the good old days of Logos of yore. I've been unsuccessful in finding documentation in the FAQ's and in forums. The resources reside in c:\users\username\appdata\local\logos5\data I'd install Logos 5 and then copy this across

Nice stat. It would figure that the item I'd like to read mobile-ly I can't :)

Super fast response. Thanks for the clarification there. That's the first one I've noticed with that licensing issue.

I think I heard somewhere that some titles in one's logos collection could not be viewed using the android app due to licensing issues. I have come across a title in my collection that appears in Logos 5 - PC library, but not visible when I search for it using either one of my android devices. I have the latest version of the android app on both devices

It's ALIVE! The frankenlaptop lives. And as you mentioned Doug, a noticeable performance gain. The biggest challenge of it all was to find and install my vista-era video drivers, which still work on the win 7 platform and, thankfully, on win 8. The switch from the generic driver to the specific x1400 video card meant better screen resolution and jump

thanks. I'll post back on my progress.

I have ran the assistant and it all checks out. It's still a core2duo laptop t7200, so I think it's doable. And I'm curious about both the win 8 interface and also the L5.
-
Perhaps I'm a glutton for punishment, or maybe adventurous. I'm in the process of updating my prehistoric laptop to Win 8. Everything checks out there system requirement-wise. In the process I'd like to play with the new data sets for L5. My system checks out on that front as well according to the requirements posted at: http://www.logos.com/product

Discovery! Even though the home/library pop-up menu covers the book's blue scroll bar, it still is useable by running your finger along the top of the home/library pop-up menu. Strange, but true.

Free loot!!! Muchos gracious!!

Updated my cm7 rom today and the functionality returns. Yay! One thing that is a little odd is the scroll bar which displays behind Home/ Library / ... buttons. Again, a rare rom/device issue, or a 7" display issue?
-
sadly it will only run with cm7. It may ultimately run with cm9, but that's a ways off. I'd be game to roll it back to a previous version if there was an apk download available. This was the one time I didn't back up before updating. Silly me. It does seem like a rare problem --- one that would encounter running the reasonable rare nook color / cm7

It's lonely in here (tumbleweed blows past). Apparently mine is the rare problem. Anyone with an apk of the previous version that I can reinstall?

I have updated, uninstalled, and reinstalled the android app and have no luck bringing my table of contents function back to life. I tap the icon, but get no results. Anyone else with a similar issue? I'm running cm7 on a nook color.
