  • Re: Mac Download Problems Metathread

All devices will get hot but if this sis a concern why not buy one of the laptop risers with a fan built into it? They are driven from the laptop by a usb cable. I did that for my macbook pro to adjust the viewing angle and it helped cooling. As for my new Imac, it never seems to heat up. Terrific machines. I've finally got rid of windows and it was

  • Re: Possible fix for Yosemite/L6 users with download woes

Hi Mark. Thanks for the info. I can find Terminal OK but am not sure what to do with your information. If I click on the link at the bottom of the page, it downloads the core engine but I wonder if I will still have all the drama of all those updates. I canceled the current update and found that resources were added and L6 started indexing. I am reluctant

I am still waiting patiently for some kind of answer. My problem seems to be Logos oriented. I have Logos 6.0 SR-1 6.0.0.3721 on Yosemite 10:1.1 and the massive updates still keep piling up. The current one is 3% of 2.12GB and has been running all day already. There are no know issues with any other software and the problem continues with or without

Like most other forums, I have had nothing but download problems when updating. File sizes keep changing but it seems to be because various resources become available. Following various suggestions have not worked. In my instance it is NOT a Yosemite wifi issue. I have switched wifi off and reverted to Ethernet and nothing changes. the problems for

I have had similar problems, only smaller file sizes. Additionally the file sizes keep changing. The latest update is 17% of 2.06 Gb and has taken all day so far. All suggestions received on these posts and from Logos support have been investigated and although there has been improvement, the problem still exists. One thing that seems to have been overlooked

  • Re: Slow Updates on L6

I was just asked, "Am I sure"? Of course! I thought I had explained what has been happening. I had no problems with L5 other than that being slow when indexing and slow in some updates, considering that this is a large application. This was with Mavericks as well as my new Yosemite. I have also stated that I have no other issues with any other software

Peter, this is my experience too. I have an immense workload with desktop publishing, web site design, graphics design and have almost all of the latest Adobe CC applications. Combined, they are far bigger than Logos> It is only Logos that is giving me problems. When watching CPU usage and so on, only Logos 6 acts weird. Robert

Yes, I have done all others suggested, but nothing works. I have even reset my internet/Network/wireless settings and tried ethernet. Nothing works. As I said before, everything works OK for me. I have no wireless issues with Apple and have upgraded other immense applications without any problems whatever. For me this is solely related to L6.

  • Slow Updates on L6

I upgraded to Ls from L5 without a problem but the updates are a disaster. They are painfully slow, almost at a stop. It has taken many days of trying everything I know, following the advice given on other posts to no avail. I've switched from wireless to ethernet. Restarted everything I know and there is no change. 48 hours of continual an uninterrupted

I have similar problems. After upgrading from version 5, the app seems to run but downloading updates is painfully slow. I started yesterday afternoon and have run overnight and it is still only 18%. That's worse than dialup modems used to be. Other software such as Adobe is lightning fast by comparison. I updated Muse in mere minutes! I only hope that

  • Video Blocks

I received an E-mai from Logos with an offer for a 7 day trial from Video Blocks. If anyone is considering this, please be careful. I had a 7 day trial and decided not to continue with any subscription. Despite that, Video Blocks kept billing me differing amounts each month. One month's subscription was refunded but there is still a dispute in question

I too would like very much to have Hebrew pronunciations. I am a pastor and have a global ministry... have a Jewish background and want to learn to hear the Hebrew words in my studies. I possess the Wordsearch 9 application as well as Logos 4 on mac, but to my knowledge neither applications support speech (yet) on Mac. The Wordsearch does this or used

Hi Bradley. everything seems to be working fine now. I'v e just downloaded and installed the first of my pre-pubs and it was easy. I'm very pleased with the product. It may be a little slow on Windows for some folk but that's understandable. Please hurry up with finishing the Mac version (smile)! Well done! Thank you. Robert [quote user="Bradley Grainger

Thank you Badley, or should say thanks mate? I started using Logos when it was on a few floppy disks, so I'm not surprized. I appreciate your help. Actually, I am considering moving to America this year, obtain dual US/Australia citizenship and live in the Bellingham area. I'll live 5 months in Australia & 5 there, so will drop by and say hello (G'day
