I'm sure it'll eventually be less than $20
I realise now that my post wasn't clear - but the eventual price I was referring to was the the pre-pub / sale price. Mueller has jumped from $15 to $79.95 - I know which price I would prefer to pay!! I would imagine there would be a similar jump if/when Catena Aurea gets

  • Re: Catena Aurea – The Golden Chain (Community Pricing)

If all current bidders raise to at least $20 that would get it to about 97.5% so there would still need to be some "new blood" needed. However, it looks like in the last 24 hours enough new bidders have come in to reduce the best possible price down from $24 to $22. All it takes is a little bit of promotion to make people aware of the title and tell
Another way to get it into prepub is to increase our bids to $30!
It's even better than that - all would take is for all bidders to be at $24 or more tand that would be enough. Alternatively if just the people sitting at $20 raised their bid to $32 that also would put to 100% Almost a third of all bidders have clicked

If they are just the base packages then you may already have most if not all of the titles already. If you're wanting to use version 3 (many people still are using because Logos 4 doesn't do everything that 3 does (yet) ) you can download it for free and load the books you've got with 4 into it. But assuming there are extra titles that you'll get in

One would hope so considering the 20,000 users on this forum site and the promotional efforts of various individuals. Of all the current titles on offer I most interest in the Mueller collection so it be awesome to have three titles all graduating from CP at the same time.

I'm sorry Abi, without knowing anything about you I can only assume that the phrase "Devil's advocate" perhaps means something different to you than my intended meaning. To me all it means is that I am intentionally taking a contrary position, not to be obstructive but to encourage further analysis. Jesus used a similar technique when He asked the disciples

I like the fact that Logos not only has provide multiple feeds for their information but have also provided the ability to choose which ones I use. So as has already been mentioned, it is possible to switch off the message notifications and other stuff on the Logos homepage. This is what I have chosen because I get any Pre-pub and Community Pricing

Thanks Kevin and you're now getting us into more (a little at least) controversial territory - namely - how are we to understand the divinity and nature of Christ. How can I use Logos to explore the claims of people who proscribe Jesus as both fully human and fully God versus those who have an alternate understanding. And of course that leads to a whole

Love is obviously a misused word - of course we often talk about God's love being "agape" love - (which of course explains everything right ) How might I use Logos tools to better illustrate from the Bible to someone who may not even believe in God what it is I am saying when I say that God *loves* them? Maybe it would be helpful to provide some suggestions - the John 1:1 question was intended to be a reasonably soft serve and it was good to see that someone dug up a very useful thread that spoke to that issue while illustrating how one could go about investigating it in Logos. I need to head home so I going to post another one and see what turns up
Jeremy, what you said about community pricing being the way they determine what is popular or not, is only partially true.
Yes, that is kind of the fly in the ointment - and given that Logos is set up as a commercial enterprise (and I don't begrudge that) it is totally their prerogative to take that approach.
