Thank you Robert, that is the situation I shudda bin reporting. And it did work. (Thank you Graham.) g

  • Re: Can you create a Collection that includes just Clippings?

Graham, thank you; That is good to know. I had actually looked at that briefly, but in that short window it frankly looked as if it was not suited to an essentially mere text 'import'; as if it was a bit of an effort. I take it that once 'booked', including the book is a matter of click-drag? (To answer your first question -- ham-fisted copy/paste

  • Re: Factbook misspelling assumption

Thank you, S ine , That is correct for the Factbook as far as I browsed its results. However, hits are possible, in the Britannica article re Beowulf, forgivably in a few Semitic language transliterations, and amusingly enough, in dictionary etymological explications of the English word "weird". Still, given my somewhat Herodotean proclivities, it would

  • Factbook misspelling assumption

    - How do I stop Logos from assuming I typed 'it' wrong? Eg, looking for the Old English word, "Wyrd", it would be nice were the Factbook to at least prioritize any wyrd hits before it got to " Byard Bennett ", "word", war, swords, et al. And beyond its mistyped/fuzzy hits, Factbook doesn't know about the wyrd dictionary and Beowulf results I find otherwise

Not simply remove them from all my resources? g

  • Re: Can you create a Collection that includes just Clippings?

    I take it then that I cannot include a notebook in a collection? Why would I? There are resources that Logos doesn't have that I would nevertheless like to encounter. (Eg, Smith's "Theory of Moral Sentiment".) Of course, I could suggest it and others (as I have), but that takes years to implement even if the 'ask' is attended. Win 10 x64 [19042] updd;

  • FIND in s Logos 9 note. [Logos9]

When I FIND (Ctrl-f) a character string in a note, the note scrolls to the vicinity of the character for me, but not TO it. (If the 'word' is on the page already displayed, the highlight does advance or retrograde.) Typically, I have to go somewhere to the next 'page' to see it, up or down -- on a full 27" display. (If I FIND "and", all the ands are

Thanks again MJ, For completion's sake, I've attached a doc with the snips pasted. 6562.If it.docx (It includes what I find when I click VIEW OPTIONS.)

Thanks OHF, Though I've not (persistently?) tested this by immediately typing after the box appears (which did not work just now as I tested it), I did not because it had no blinking cursor -- as it does when I click or double-tab into it. I'll wait until 8.17 Windows is primetime (The condition has persisted through multiple high-level, x.UPDATE, updates

As for resources out-of-update, that's not likely since this happens (just about?) every time I log into the home page -- Despite that I keep autoupdate on and Logos is open all day with no interruption of access. The message appears even just after resources are auto updated. If it's not my Logos version it's talking about, why then would VIEW OPTIONS

  • Your version of Logos is out of date

My Logos version is not out of date. I apparently just don't have the base package library you want me to have (which has far too many extraneous 'resources' for me). It would be preferred that the Logos logged-in home page only tell me when my Logos version (now, 8.16.0.0002) is out of date and leave the rest to me. (It's no use if it's wrong about

  • Is it possible to do a basic search ...

Is it possible to do a basic (or other) search of my resources with whatever criteria, but limited to only those I purchased since some date? Researching, I start by searching my resources using the relevant criteria, then work away; But at some point later in the project, I want to see if something relevant is also in the new resources I've bought

Thomas, Due your prodding I found what had taken ownership of Ctrl+Alt+C, a file-sharing app called Jumpshare: Because I don't use it often, I stopped my Startup start of it. (Even so, the app is very flexible re keystroke assignment.) The keystroke shortcut is now working in Logos as advertised. Thank you. PS: I had talked earlier about the Styled

Thank you Thomas, You said, Thomas: When I open the ESV, confirm the "Copy location as" is set to L4 … In ESV, yes indeed, "Copy location as" is set gray-boxed to L4. (Keeping our testing focused, we’ll work only with the ESV for now.) Then you instructed: C lick inside the resource to give it focus, press Ctrl+Alt+C, open Word, click inside to give

Similarly to " PJ | Forum Activity | Replied : Wed Feb 5, 2020 4:55 AM " and elsewhere ... Ctrl+Alt+C does not for me pick up the citation/reference. (Which for me remains a dysfunction, since quite a while, through multiple updates of Logos and Windows maintenances.) Windows 10 Pro; ver 10.0.19041 (2004) Logos 8.15.0.0004. Thanks Bradley; Also FWIW, there is a Windows registry tweak that might give me an "Open With" option, though that itself may only get me part way to what I'd want to be doing regularly. But then, though I have fiddled with the Reg. several times in the Day, I'll not now and live with the extra steps during the text copy.

Thanks KS4J, Thanks for the Handler suggestion and the link: On the verge of moving to a new PC, I'll not add a background Handler/Manager app for now. I found that when I executed the link, the Logos app Search window truncates the string as " ([field words-of-christ] (((don ", but I do get the drift of it. And while my usual use for this Scriv/Logos

Thank you for your effort; I understand both these, URL and L4, and have applied them in their day to use them. However, my disappointment is that outside Logos, in external documents where I want to have a direct link to Logos resources, " https://ref.ly/logosres/leb?ref=BibleLEB2.Php4.4 " opens a browser tab, eg, " https://app.logos.com/signin?returnUrl
