• Re: Upgrades vs Crossgrades

Sherri, Thanks for the reply! Actually abondservant's answer was more what I was looking for (thanks abondservant!). My question was more about would the Starter or Bronze package give me all the tools I get from the Feature Crossgrade. It sounded like it did, or at least was vague. But that Google document helped me see that wasn't the case. The Gold

  • Upgrades vs Crossgrades

I'm confused on the difference in the two. It sounds like if you upgrade you get everything in the crossgrade. But my crossgrade is more expensive than the upgrade (basic or Bronze). So, I'm curious if I get more out of the crossgrade compared to the upgrade. Confused ... Thanks, Brandon

  • Re: What resources would you most like to see available in Logos?

Here would be my wishlist: 1. C.S. Lewis 2. More N.T. Wright 3. More Eugene Peterson 4. More ... um ... ANY Greek Orthodox (to me the biggest gap in Logos offerings) 5. George MacDonald 6. Malcolm Smith 7. Baxter Kruger 8. Tolkein 9. Jacques Ellul

  • Re: Disappointed with Verbum

My hope with the latest Catholic resources is that we may finally see some Eastern Orthodox show up as well. I welcome the Catholic resources, but I know Logos will be burning a hole in my wallet once they start bringing more robust Orthodox materials online.

Maybe giving out free Logos resources along with condoms isn't a bad idea?

If either of you have the New International Commentary set (with Gordon Fee), I'd be happy to talk to you about taking over your library. Thanks, Brandon

  • Re: Text to Speech

I can confirm. Just bought a brand new 21.5 iMac (i7) with 4 GB RAM. Logos does not respond to the speed change no matter what. Maybe we should all submit this as a trouble ticket? Where can we submit this to? It would be really nice to have fully functional, and the speed option is very important to me. Thanks, Brandon

  • Re: Resources on Covenants

The better resources, in my opinion, are not in Logos currently. I would suggest some of the following: Climax of the Covenant by N.T. Wright (very academic) The Covenants of Promise by McComiskey The Power of the Blood Covenant by Malcolm Smith (more pastoral, but one of the greatest books on covenant to me; he also has several audio teachings including

Are there any other resources like this out there? I really like to see how things are grouped together.

  • Re: Question about PBB Distribution

Thanks for the info! I'm not looking to selling anything, so copyright isn't an issue with this. The people I'm talking to own their own copyrights, but I'm sure they are going to want to know if they can sell their own resources or not. Blessings, Brandon

  • Question about PBB Distribution

I had a question about PBB that I can't find on the Logos site. Is it possible to sell books created in PBB? I am not thinking about myself, but there are some resources I would love to see pushed into Logos (yes, I've tried using Suggestions with Logos). I am curious if they are willing to convert their resources into Logos if they could sell this

  • Anyone have a copy of Camp Logos Live I could borrow?

Hi everyone, I'm interested in the Camp Logos Live DVDs, but way beyond my budget right now. Does anyone have a copy I could borrow to watch? Or a used copy they might be willing to sell? I can't do the payment plans just yet. I may check out Learn Logos products as well since it is cheaper. But I was able to attend a Proctor seminar with Logos 3 and

  • Re: New Philosophical works
Mainly seeing some now emergent works coming into Logos and yes realize it has been coming for quite some time as what is sold is not exactly something you get a recomendation from Brian McLarten or Doug Padgitt.
Really? I would love to see some Brian McLaren on Logos personally. The church always goes through stages

  • Re: Orthodox material

I honestly would pay the full price of Logos Gold all over again to have access to these resources. This is the weakest area in all of the offerings that Logos has. What amazes me (and I'm not Orthodox) is just how MUCH there is out there! Since mainstream bookstores don't carry their stuff, I always thought there were just a handful of books. There

  • Re: Is Logos 4 theologically biased?

I don't think the programmers are biased. I do have to wonder about the books that are made available though. Sometimes it seems a little heavy toward one side of things. And sadly, I have to disagree about Orthodox representation in Logos. I would say the makeup of Logos is 93.4% Protestant, 6.5% Catholic, and approximately 0.00000000000000000000001
Of course, you will disagree with this assessment, but anyone can read your posts here in this regard and decide for themselves. Sorry, I'm not trying to go after you or Roman Catholics, but I think the "straw-man" charge you keep throwing around needs to be put to rest.
I think my biggest prayer is that the term

I would gladly if it would help, but my guess is that they wouldn't want us to do that. It seems strange they wouldn't have permission. That (along with many other things) are all over the place in a variety of formats and programs (even on the iPhone). Blessings, Brandon

  • Re: Tyndale Commentaries

A big problem, as I see it, is what is meant by "competitor." Therein is some confusion. Does that mean anything that doesn't have the Logos stamp on it? Even if said product is in direct support of Logos? To me, competitor means something that is an alternative product to Logos. For that, I can understand the policy. But for things which support Logos
