• Mouseover reveals different info on different computers

I am confused. When I move my cursor over a word, say in the ESV, I get information regarding the original language behind it. On some computers, this additional data will include an English gloss for the word. On other computers, it will not. Any reason this is the case? Is there a setting somewhere for this that turns it on or off?

  • Re: Reporting typos

Thanks, Drew. I understand. There are other features (like incorporating clippings into the app) that I would set as a higher priority as well. I just hate not being able to report the things I notice while I am reading.

  • Reporting typos

Sure wish I could report typos within the Android app. I do the vast majority of my reading through the app on my phone and tablet rather than the PC. I found other mentions of this in the forums, but they are all rather old, so I thought I would bring it up again.
I REALLY wish the Logos iOS app would allow us to clip things we read, since I do the vast majority of my reading on my iPad, as opposed to being sat at my computer. Hopefully this will be a future update.
I fully agree with your wish. I too do most of my reading on my tablet (Android), not at my computer. I keep hoping
One thing I have also been doing with clippings is I have been taking advantage of the notes section at the bottom of clippings and just add quick reference notes about that clipping, I have also been reordering the clippings by drag and drop to keep the higher priority clippings at the top.
I use the notes section as

  • Using Clippings for Sermon Prep

I am not sure that it was designed for sermon prep, but I find that creating clippings is the best way for me to gather data during sermon preparation. I have tried different methods (highlighting, notes, and using Word for taking notes), but I keep coming back to clippings. As I look at different resources, I just clip the information I want to refer

  • Re: Theological Journals Update

I, like many of you, have avoided the use of other platforms. I thought it would be better to have everything in one searchable package, even if at times it cost me more to do so. The loss of the TJL will force me to use a competitor's product. The content of the journal library is too valuable to me to give up. And if I am going to be using another

  • Re: Anybody use their android tablet to preach?

Thanks for the help. I think I'll start by continuing to read from my Bible and using my tablet for my notes only.

I have the Asus Transformer and have been thinking about using it for sermons. I could use the office program on it or Evernote, but how do the rest of you use your electronic Bible software at the same time? Are you opening and closing different apps or just copying the text into your notes? Just looking for some practical suggestions as I venture

According to sales, they will have upgrade packages available over time for the collection, but the rep I talked to did not have any info on when the first upgrade would be available. I hope that is helpful.

I just hope there is a plan to keep updating the collection over time. I will give sales a call and see if they have any info on this.

  • Re: Reading plan non-sync déjà vu

I have the same issue with Logos 5.0a SR4. It is out of sync while my Android tablet (Asus Transformer) and iPod Touch are syncing fine. I do most of my reading on the tablet and the apps on my tabet an iPod are up to date.

  • Tabletalk Magazine updates

I purchased the Tabletalk Magazine collectiona while back and have used it quite a bit for sermon and lesson development. It gives me a lot of ideas for application of the texts I am preaching through. Is there any plan to make newer issues available in Logos? The current collection only goes through January 2011.

Excellent! This is great. Thanks for the quick reply all. I got an email about this and when I followed the "learn more" link, it was not clear. I did not see the blog post. Thanks again. I will share the news.

  • 2.5 million Free Faithlife Study Bibles

I have been using the Faithlife Study Bible through my L5 as well as apps running on my iPod Touch and an Android tablet. Since I already have it, am I now automatically a part of the 2.5 free for life group, or do I need to do something more?

I am having the same issue. I get an error message when Logos 4 attempts to sync. This has been occuring since yesterday morning on both my laptop and my desktop.

I just tried again this morning and both apps are working fine now. Both libraries updated without any problems. I am not sure what fixed the problem, but I am happy regardless.
