  • Re: Logos' Notes Are Counter-Intuitive - QUOTES/Highlights - Please Reconsider...

I've had an e-mail thread with Logos on this. Originally, a couple of months ago, they said it would be fixed in 6.5. It wasn't. When I wrote back I got this: "6.5 was where exporting quotes view was scheduled, but circumstances interfered and that team missed the cut-off date. Looking at the code repository, I can see that coding on the feature is

  • Re: Has Bible Study Magazine Price Increased?

They have to make up for the revenue loss from those of us who were serious when we said we weren't renewing unless the magazine was available digitally in full each issue. OK, probably not. More likely just the increased cost of producing and mailing a print magazine these days. Or perhaps a drop in ad revenue that needs to be made up? All joking aside

  • Re: Logos Not Fully Indexing

Just found this topic as I've hit some sort of problem that appears index related and wanted to see if anyone else had. Hadn't opened up Logos in a few weeks, but I bought some books today and opened it to install them. They install fine, but indexing is taking longer than usual. Logos isn't open at the moment... it's just indexing after I rebooted

  • Re: High Definition Commentaries?

Do you have a direct link for the Philippians slides? I did a search and all I can find is the Romans Slides Pack. When I contacted Logos a few weeks back, they said the slides don't exist as a separate download for Philippians, but I'd be happy if they remedied that since I contacted them. Thanks.

  • Re: High Definition Commentaries?

I'm reading through the Philippians book right now with a consideration of using this to teach a class. My initial thought (very early on in the reading) is that the content is probably deeper than I need for a typical Sunday School class. All good content, just way too much for the group and the time I have. This just feels a bit too academic at times

  • Re: Logos' Notes Are Counter-Intuitive - QUOTES/Highlights - Please Reconsider...

I was putting together my highlights through the first half of 2014. So whatever was allowing me to grab full highlights was in effect then. To be honest, I read so much through different platforms, I couldn't tell you with 100% certainty which platform I used to read each book. My guess is most of it was mobile. I did not paste anything into a subject

Unfortunately, with L5 replaced by L6, I can't go back and give a step-by-step of what I had done or how the options were labeled. In L5, I read about 10 Logos books on a particular topic. As I read through the books, my highlighted text was put into a Note that I created to be the hub for all these highlights from the different books. When I was done

  • Re: Logos' Notes Are Counter-Intuitive - QUOTES/Highlights - Please Reconsider...

Just hit this today trying to export my highlights. Bradley says it's an "unimplemented feature" which I find disappointing, maddening, bewildering, frustrating and any other similar word one might choose only because it was an "implemented feature" in the prior version of Logos. I'm slightly confused if this isn't implemented now because of a technical

  • Re: Why is Jacob: Discerning God’s Presence in Community Pricing?

Ah... that explains it. Thank you. If there's a downside it's that it's been about a year and a half and we're still waiting because, I imagine, it's out-of-sight, out-of-mind for people. I'm not sure where it's getting any notice these days unless, like me, you've bid and you're waiting. But at least this has cleared up my curiosity. Thanks again.

  • Why is Jacob: Discerning God’s Presence in Community Pricing?

I think this was addressed some time back, but I couldn't find a reference to it. This book had already been released and is part of Studies in Faithful Living Patriarchs Collection and is still available there. So why was it placed into CP and currently unavailable as a solo purchase?

  • Re: Question about pop-up info in Atlas on Macs

Thanks. I'll do that tomorrow. I've had Logos 6 for over a month now, so there's been plenty of time for indexing. I'll see what support says. Thanks again.

  • Re: Question about pop-up info in Atlas on Macs

Thanks for the response. I have the Logos 6 Features Crossgrade. I get to the map like you have, but nothing comes up when hovering. Looking at the datasets, I guess we see where the problem is as these are the only four things that show up: I thought the Features Crossgrade gave me what I needed, but perhaps not?

  • Question about pop-up info in Atlas on Macs

Watching this video, I see an ability to hover a city to get information about that city: https://www.logos.com/training/logos6/desktop/atlas (It's at about the :47 second mark.) For the life of me, I can't get this work on any map in the Atlas. The ability to see the distance between any two cities is there, just not the pop-up info when I put my cursor

  • Re: New Feature: Send to Kindle

I'm not sure we're talking about the exact same thing. It sounds like you're saying the Send to Kindle process strips out any highlighting or notes I might have made within Logos. But I'm asking about highlights I make in books in the iPad Kindle app after I've sent them from Logos to Kindle. In other words: 1. Send book from Logos to Kindle app. 2

  • Re: New Feature: Send to Kindle

Just ran into an issue that takes the usefulness out of the Send to Kindle feature, at least for me. I'm wondering if anyone has a solution. First off, the problem isn't with Logos or the Send to Kindle feature itself. That works great and I'm appreciative of the feature. But what I've found is that, since the books you send are put in the Doc directory

  • Re: New Feature: Send to Kindle

So, of course, as soon as I post this, some of the books I'd been trying to send start feeding into the Kindle app on my iPad. Maybe it was a server issue, then? I'd still be curious to know if that second entry was telling me that there was a Logos server issue. By the way... another happy customer with this feature. I like to read on my Kindle app

  • Re: New Feature: Send to Kindle

Having a bit of a problem here. I had followed the video here: https://www.logos.com/training/logos6/desktop/send-to-kindle It has some subtle differences than what is in the start of this post, mainly putting in @logos.com (from the video) and "Set Kindle Account to..." vs. just "Set Kindle to...". I've got both logos.com and noreply@logos.com in Amazon

  • Re: Amazon Having Trouble Competing with Logos Prices (yes, joking)

I was happy to get the credit. I had been borderline on whether to get the Logos 6 Features Crossgrade now, or sometime next year. The $20 pushed me over into the "buy it now" category. I long ago made peace with the price difference between Amazon and Logos. Some things I'm happy to pay more for because of the work that has to be done to tag everything

  • Re: Bible Study Magazine Book Bundle (9 vols.)

I might have been tempted if there was more of the actual Bible study content from the magazine. (8 Weeks, Greek, the articles from each issue's Bible theme, etc.) There's quite an emphasis on interviews and profiles in this bundle. Which are interesting to read (once), but not at this price. To me, the value of a digital BSM is the study resources
