That seems to have done it. One quick defaults setting and a 452mb download completed and installed very quickly!! Thanks for the help!

I'd be interested more in the Terminal hack than beta; do you have a link? -swf

I upgraded from Verbum 5 to Verbum 6 Basic on November 29. Since then, I've gone through a constant cycle of Downloading xx mb of updates. The downloads have varied in size anywhere from ~200mb, to 1.17gb. They never seem to complete and appear to restart downloading frequently (I'll see download percentages anywhere from 6 to 92% complete, and then

I am specifically referring to when I am in a resource (specifically the Dictionary of Latin Forms) and I touch the middle of the screen, which brings up a search box (with at TOC tree next to it) and then enter a term in that box. I can certainly page forward and back (or use the TOC tree, or document slider) to get to the appropriate dictionary lookup

I'm taking a Latin language class in a location that does not have WIFI access. On my Google Nexus 10 tablet with the Verbum application, I use the Dictionary of Latin Forms. I've discovered that without Internet access, any search within this document returns the message "reference not recognized", but if I'm able to have an active Internet connection

For me, it's the Faithlife pane that is no longer updating. The Library, Daily Readings and News tabs are call current, but no matter what I choose in the Faithlife tab, it's blank. This used to work fine, but has been several weeks since there's anything there.

So I "ordered" the Catholic Practicum back in May and as of today the website says "Under Development." Is there anywhere that an expected date of availability is published? -swf

How do you update a reading plan, or adjust it from today? Specifically, I'm so far behind in one reading plan that I just want to push it out the same number of days remaining from my current progress point. -swf

I uninstalled and re-installed on my Nexus and now my Reading Lists are syncing. Interestingly enough, the uninstall cleared my login credentials but did NOT delete any library items that I had downloaded.

I've had Logos on my Sprint Android Samsung Galaxy S2 phone and Kindle Fire for a while and am finally becoming comfortable with it. I got a Google Nexus 10 this week and I'm seeing significant differences in behavior. Versions I'm seeing Galaxy S2: 2.2.8.1 (Build 65) -- Kindle Fire: 2.2.8 (Build 65) stable - Nexus 10: 2.2.8.1 (Build 65) The Galaxy

Thanks. I hadn't thought about licensing as being an issue.

So my library has Collins Latin Dictionary and Grammar available and usable on my Windows system, but it does not appear in my library on my Android devices (Samsung Galaxy SII and Kindle Fire). Collins Thesaurus of the Bible DOES show up, but not the Dictionary? Any ideas?

The Wiki page is here: http://wiki.logos.com/Reading_Plans (scroll down to "Manually customised reading plans" ). Apparently this wiki page has changed significantly since I can't fine the Manually customised reading plans section.

Ok, it seems I am able to install if I first uninstall 2.0.11.
-
Yep, that's the trick. Uninstall 2.0.11 and then install 2.1.2 worked. Now to see if the application is back to normal behavior.
-
Will uninstalling 2.0.11 allow 2.1.2 to install? I keep attempting without success to install over 2.0.11 on my Kindle Fire.
-
Description: doesn't install on Kindle Fire. Allow Installation of Applications from Unknown Sources is On. Bible 2.1.2 downloaded from http://downloads.logos.com/Android/Logos/beta/index.html (Logos-57.apk) Kindle Fire current version 6.3.1_user_4107720 It checks permissions and then attempts to install and then gives the Application Not Installed

Interestingly, the release dates on Amazon Appstore (11/2/11) and Google Play (8/27/12) vary wildly for the same numbered version. I'm confused.
-
Is anyone at Logos notifying Amazon that there are new versions available. The Amazon AppStore still has 2.0.11 which is the same version that Google Play has. I'm trying to keep my Kindle Fire clean and not side-load too much. I keep getting notifications that there is a newer version available (on my Kindle Fire) but when I download and try to install

I'll accept that maybe I have unreasonable expectations for what's included in a study bible, as opposed to a bible commentary, but there are no clenched fists here. These are perceptions from a brand new FSB user and an almost brand new Logos user. My last comment on this is that with all the different brand names here (Logos, Biblia, Faithlife, FSB
