. . . nor long-time Logos owner (Logos 3 for about 15 months), but I love what I'm seeing in Logos 4 after having it up and running for less than a day. And it will only get better. I really appreciate all the work Logos and the beta-testers put in. From this geezer to all involved, thanks! You've helped enrich my Bible study. Bill

Seems like a great idea to me, Paul. Thanks for setting it up. Bill
I am sorry I may be asking a question that has been asked. I do not know how to search in this Forum. I need to buy a new computer. Do I get XP, VISA (I am thinking not) or Windows 7? What would you get in the computer. Want to get what will make Logos run better (faster). Thanks
I just bought a Lenovo ThinkPad
""If you're using Logos Bible Software 4 , you must choose the DOWNLOAD option." I don't see why? Can't they get LBS3 editions for books which are still being compiled in LBS3 and then upgrade them at 0 cost? Or perhaps you mean, "if you want to enjoy this title immediately"?
I'm not sure I understand your question

You will want to change them manually--they won't be changed automatically. Thanks, Melissa
How would those of us that ordered a prepub from an online store handle this change (I ordered Tyndale from Rejoice software and I plan on removing Logos 3 from my computer). Thanks [/quote
I am strongly considering upgrading from my current Gold pkg to the Platnum library. Will I need to cancel the Holman Reference Collection that I have on PrePub order since it is now included in most L4 base packages?
Hi Edwin, When I upgraded from L3 Gold to L4 Platinum, I had Opening Up Commentary Collection on
This is just for information really, because Like many of us I feel that Logos has served us well in the past and have every confidence for the future. I have just upgraded from Gold to Platinum. While examining the portfolio collection I found some resources that I would like so I added those as well (I had an upgrade budget

If you put your computer in sleep mode, Logos will simply continue the download when you awaken the computer. I learned that accidentally when my computer went into sleep mode during the night while the program was downloading. I thought I would have to start over, but Logos picked up where it had left off. And there are more threads than I have time

Bob, my understanding is that you can have both programs on the same computer. I've read where some are learning the ropes of Logos 4 while using Logos 3 for work. My L4 Platinum download is at 14%, so anything I tell you is what I've gleaned from threads the past couple of days. Bill

Thanks, guys. It's good to know everything is chugging along properly. We're at 12%! Bill

Yesterday I upgraded from L3 Gold to L4 Platinum. My sales rep told me that my laptop computer needed to run continuously for the long initial download of updates, that I couldn't put it in sleep mode to pause the progress while I took the computer from office to home and vice versa. I installed the program and initiated the 8GB download and left the

I don't have an answer but to encourage you to contact technical support. They tell me that's why they are there when I am hesitant to call. Hope you the best in getting some help. Bill
Simeon is worth every penny. And you get the BDAG in this Platinum bundle. The neat thing about Simeon is that covers the whole Bible. And I would agree that he's one of my favorites to read. His commentaries are not on every verse., but I almost always open his commentaries up to see if he said anything on a passage. I

I likewise thought Portofolio was way too high and so I went with Platinum.
Platinum would only cost me $232. However there is only $100 of stuff I'd want in that package. There are only 26 items I'd get in the upgrade. Some are sets or collections so the number of works is much larger than

I haven't yet upgraded, but a lot of posters are suggesting keeping L3 for a while, particularly if you have PBB's that you rely on. I'm sure there are other reasons. Bill

The Portfolio is safe from me. Upgrading from L3 Gold will cost me $425.04 for L4 Platinum and $2480.04 for Portfolio.

I started doing a similar comparison and came to the same conclusion. I was kind of hoping (at least a little!) for a reason not to upgrade. Bill
