  • Re: Logos Catholic/Verbum Important Links

You would call sales rather than customer service. CS is for solving problems. There are a lot of good sales people who will help you save money. Don't hesitate to call them when buying stuff. The more you buy, the more likely they can give you a deal. Angela, the rep I mentioned, is a Verbum specialist. Ask her about her daughter, Sparrow. New born

Hi Joe Most products are also contained in bundles. Check down on the product page. Get to know a Logos sales rep. I use Angela. They can often save you money. I bought a lot of bundles. I was looking primarily for commentary sets. Saved a lot of money. You have to know what you really want. Do the math based on that, and the rest are freebies. It helps

When prioritizing resources, I right click. It asks if I want to prioritize the book or the entire series. If I click on just that one book, nothing happens. If I drag the book to the priority column, it does the whole series. I know there is a key stroke move that does that, but I forgot what it was and tried several things that didn't work. The point

When I paste Hebrew and Syriac lexical information in my notes, the text is tiny. The English is normal. It is very tedious to highlight each occurrence and then enlarge the text. I need a 20 pt for Hebrew and even larger for the Syriac. If I just highlight it all, the English is huge and the note becomes very long. I think this is a flaw and should

I can second that. I have my print Bible on my desk, and a lot of times I get tired of waiting for Logos to move that I just start doing my Bible reading in that. I have an SSD coming, but this happens way too often and it shouldn't. I have plenty of RAM, though I have more coming there too.

When I work in WORD, the program can be set so that it will save my work every few minutes if I wish. I would like to see Logos save my work as I go. For example, just now, I did something that totally changed the layout. Instead of columns, I now had half columns. To back to my old layout, I had to go to my saved layout, and while the format was the

I wondered. Am I going nuts? So I moved the mouse over the icon on a closed tab, the X appears, and I click on the X, and (wait for it) voila! the tab opens. Then I click on the X again, and it disappears.

This may seem a minor thing, but I think it's something that Logos changed and should be changed back. It seems closing a tab is not a two step process instead of one. Each tab has an icon and an X. If you click on the X of a closed tab, it won't remove the tab; it will open it. Then you can click the X again to remove the tab. I may be using close

You're asking what new books should be included? What about the funding? I used to send Logos almost every day lists of books that I wanted to see included in it. I was surprised how many of these books have been sitting in CP for years. I can pull those lists out again. Today I just purchased Notes on the Greek Text of Genesis, Exodus, Numbers, and

I have tried for years to get books out of CP that have been languishing in there for years. I've made suggestions that have gone nowhere. I hope you have better success.

I'm not the sharpest person on this site, but I think your suggestions need amplification in most cases. Like what exactly bugs with notes are you thinking of? If you don't say, they might fix some but not some that you are thinking of. Don't assume everybody knows what you are thinking.

I think the library has some significant bugs: I wanted to see if i had the Living Bible. I type in living bible, click titles, and I have 277 results. True, living Bible was not in quotes, but 277 results? Most titles weren't even close. I type in Smith as an author. I get 274 results: Kay Arthur, James Bennett, Cindy Bultema, Trent Butler. I remember

I understand well the point of community pricing. I don't understand the point of having books sit in there for 6 years. If people are willing to pay a higher price, then after a while let them do it, if it means these books can finally see publication. You say there aren't enough people who bid higher to cover the costs. I don't know. If you don't

Well, did you tell them about it? I would like to be able to use it in, say, a passage guide, where I can move something up or down.

  • community pricing

We have resources that have been languishing in community pricing for 6 years now. Many of these resources I bid the highest amounts possible, because I learned the value of them. A lot of Bible students today are enamored by the latest scholarship, such that so many books are now deemed outdated. Others are superseded, because all the new books have

good comments. I hope they get somewhere. I had mentioned before about journals that the ones that Logos carries are not the ones you see cited in scholarly works.

I've edited hundreds of titles, including the author, so when I have a hundred Gospel of Johns, I know immediately who wrote it. Logos needs to find ways to save people time. A star system would be better than me editing titles. Plus a star is yellow and type is black. Easier to see. Save time. Thank you I can't imagine that few people used them. I

I'm glad at least that you agree that we need this function. I don't understand your comment that the features had very little usage. (No need to explain yourself) Maybe a second best solution is to make the stars a part of the resource title. We will know then which resources have been read, which are good resources, ones we like, but no we wouldn
