Thanks, Dave, for your help. I was getting frustrated with Logos not opening unless the internet was turned off...and as a teacher I don't generally have time to call Logos Support!
I read a ch of Prov, one OT and one NT each day and need to be able to read one chapter each...each day of the week.
If you follow the instructions in my post above (Nov. 24, 2009), that should give you a good idea. When you click on the drop down to specify what you want to read (where it says All Passages

Hi Richard, Thanks for your help, and the same to everyone else on this thread. This is not a huge issue (I don't use transliteration very often (or ever...), but I guess with our help Logos can get the bugs worked out of its program. Stuart.

Normal 0 false false false EN-CA X-NONE HE
Looks good to me, on my machine. Are you running this under XP (SP3?) by chance? There were some errors in transliteration codes in XP that weren't seen elsewhere. I thought that was fixed by now though. It's a font issue (regardless of OS). If you've changed the font for transliteration

I was wondering if anyone else has this problem, and even if it is specific to the Concise Hebrew and Aramaic Lexicon of the Old Testament ? (actually, as I double-check, it seems that the transliteration is not from CHALOT, as that resource (and none of the Hebrew lexica provide such a transliteration)). --I'm not even sure where that transliteration

Very true. Please excuse my tired mind....

Oops... my bad. תוֹהוּ is used elsewhere... perhaps there is a problem which I just can't figure out. Sorry if I was less than helpful. Stuart.
For example, "search this resource" with בֹּהוּ in Gen. 1:2 gives me nothing; same thing with תֹּהוּ. On the other hand I get three results for רחף
The issue is not the resource, but the lemma itself. To my knowledge, Gen 1:2 is the only place where these two words are used in the Hebrew Bible (I also looked
Not sure how to use L4 off line. Don't you have to "connect" to the internet to access L4?
Logos 4 works offline (if it cannot connect to the internet on login, it will ask to 'work offline'). The internet is necessary for synchronization (which itself is not necessary) and for installation. If you want to stay offline

I noticed that when I open 'Help', it goes to the far right of the screen in a narrow window. I really like that. What I also noticed, which I don't like so much, is that at times the words become squashed together and overlap. Here is a picture of what I mean: Is this something that has been noticed before by others? I just wanted to bring it to the

Thanks, Scott. I will definitely give that a try. Stuart.
1. I want to set up a plan to read scriptures from One Book from the Bible every morning for my devotion. For example, I want to select the book of Proverbs for the month of Decembeer. Every day I wake up I want to read myabe a chapter at a time. HOW CAN I DO THIS?
This is fairly straight-forward: click on File

Hi Bruce, I did the same test myself, even though my Logos4 was functioning well, to see if its performance was enhanced. I found, however, that there was no discernable (at least to me) change in how Logos4 behaved. Perhaps your fix works well if Logos4 is behaving poorly. Thanks, though, for the tip, if it had worked, it would have been very nice
Is there a problem here?
Hi Steve, No, there is no probem--as far as I understand these will be coming a little later. I can't find the link right now, but these interlinears will be coming. Stuart.

Thanks, Bob (or should I say Mr. Pritchett?)...not only for the response, but also the excellent software and the great staff at Logos. Stuart.

I noticed something funny on my homepage today. I saw a nice picture from Earthly Footsteps of the Man of Galilee and the Journeys of His Apostles of the Farbor of Thessalonica. Usually I just right-click and report typo. In this resource I cannot do this. Am I missing something, or does that function not work for captions of pictures? Thanks, Stuart

Thanks, Melissa and Thomas, I will continue to work with this and see what I can and/or cannot do. It is not terribly important for me, since I like working in Word better (thanks for your link, Thomas), but I want to try to learn as much about using the features of Logos4 as I possibly can. Stuart.
The 'Move to bottom of list' button moves an item that is above the dotted blue line to the bottom of the list below the dotted blue line. The items below the line will have "Move to top of list' buttons next to them to move them to the top of the list that is above the line. These are quick-move buttons. You can also drag

Thanks, Scott. That was quick! I must say I have always been impressed with the Logos customer service and support staff. Thanks for all your work that you do for us! Stuart.

That is strange... I never noticed it before until you pointed it out and so I performed a few big searches. I found, thoug, that if I change the search results view to 'verses' or 'aligned' instead of 'grid,' there were search pages on the bottom, and not the verse-listings. I will give a couple of pictures to illustrate: GRID view: VERSE view: ALIGNED
