• Re: The future of Logos and Faithlife: Help us make the right decisions!
I really can't think of a reason why anyone would use the web app on a regular basis if they already have it downloaded.
I have the desktop version but use the web app when I am working on my Chromebook away from my office. It functions better than the android app in many situations. Plus it is faster. My personal

"God is a Warrior" by Tremper Longman III & Daniel G. Reid (by Zondervan) - It deals with the "divine warrior" motif found throughout the Bible. Available on Amazon.

  • Re: Can we please have this Jack Cottrell Collection in Logos?

I believe this is a faulty assumption. "What the Bible Says About God the Creator, Ruler, and Redeemer" is 466 pages while the stand-alone book in the Wipf collection, "God the Redeemer," is 598 pages. There may be some differences in page length due to differences in fonts, layout, etc., but not that much. The books in Logos may be condensed, repackaged

  • Re: OT: Bibleworks ceases operation as of June 15, 2018

I do something similar. The primary reason? Speed. Bibleworks destroys when it comes to speed and doesn't require specialized hardware (looking at you SSD) to run efficiently. Secondary reason? It's just me and the text without a ton of extra stuff. Yes, I know I can set Logos up the same way but it feels different in Bibleworks from my perspective

  • Re: Payment plan down payments

Hate to rehash an old topic, but I sat down to prepare a large purchase (this afternoon) and the payment plan system is very odd. This was obviously not a Zondervan thing (as others have suggested) but rather an apparent policy change with Logos. The "buy it now" payment plan on the product page (tab) is different than the payment plan options if it

  • Re: M2 Drive Updating Info

I installed a Crucial MX300 m.2 (275 GB) two days ago and installed Logos 7 on it. Very snappy. Very easy to install. Took a total oh 5 minutes including opening and closing the case on my tower. Highly recommended!

  • Re: Exegetical Guide to the Greek New Testament??

Whyndell, I have heard that the "A Semantic and Structural Analysis Series" is offered in Logos but only to translators and through a different website. Do you use the books or have the Logos resources? Just curious. If true I would love to get my hands on the Logos resources (legally of course).

  • Re: MArchmadness Suprises

I may be misremembering... but didn't they used to group the older authors (15th century - 19th century) together into head-to-head competitions? I am similarly frustrated (especially with the Spurgeon & Augustine wins).

It states in the Preface that it uses the NIV (I assume the 1984 version) given the age of the commentary.

  • Logos Crash - Need Help

I upgraded to Logos 7 minutes ago. Since that update (it was still downloading new resources) the program has become unstable and crashes immediately upon startup. Starting to a blank screen doesn't help (still crashed almost immediately). FYI: Logos 6 was working perfectly before the upgrade. I have attached the log. 1423.Logos Log Files.zip Any help
