• Faithlife Videos in Powerpoint?

Is there a method to import one of the Faithlife videos into Powerpoint? Just curious because I cannot seem to find a way and the path to the specific resource on my HD is difficult to locate. Thanks in advance.

We moved to western North Carolina about 9 months ago. We first encountered an ABC store in Asheville and thought it was a educational store... until we noticed the bottles in the window. Terrible naming convention.

Thanks Bob. I greatly appreciate the clarity and your responsiveness.

Perhaps the previous, separately purchased add-ins are clouding my perception of the issue. I guess I just disagree with the whole concept of the "package" approach. I can deal with it.
Just as Dan mentioned in his post (not quoted here), a fully-featured Logos 5 comes with new databases, and these databases are treated like new resources in a sense. That means if you want to fully use L5, you will need to pay for these database resources. I believe some folks are confusing the promise of "free program

This! It's not about status and it never has been. It's about functionality. I don't need a whole bunch of additional commentaries I will never use (hello Wesleyan and Lange commentaries?) just to get the Sense data set to get me to full functionality if I upgrade. Everyone's mileage may vary though.
[quote user="Jason Saling

  • Re: Logos 5 not for me

Correct me if I am wrong, but from this last post:... It seems that "senses" functionality will only be available with Gold and beyond. It will not be included with the crossgrade? And it won't be sold separately? So it's either live with neutered version of Logos or pony up the dough for Gold or higher. Got it.

  • Re: my initial findings

I can't speak for the others, but I upgrade at the beginning of the year and had been looking forward to moving from L4 Silver to L4 Platinum specifically for these two resources. Feeling a little bit deflated seeing that they were removed. Alford and Expositor's (both public domain) are not suitable replacements for NIGCNT from my perspective (often

    This!
The loss of Pillar and NIGTC significantly devalues the new collections.
This!
How many would be complaining if they had been offered upgrades from Gold to Senator, Platinum to Majestic, etc?
I don't want my current disappointment with their marketing to cloud the fact that I appreciate Logos and use it on a daily basis.
They have done a terrific job. We need to commend them for that. At the same time they need to see ower concern as well.
• Re: I can't believe they want to charge me for an upgrade

It'd not that people have problems paying for the "new car." The problem is that the salesman tells you that the new car is free but you can only get it if you purchase a tank of gasoline...for $17,000. That's not a free car by any stretch of the imagination. We are not buying "upgrades" with these base packages. We are buying many sets of new books

  • Re: Have Core Logos 5 program available for upgrade for a certain price please!

I would submit that the cross-grade info should be on the same page as the base packages rather than buried in a FAQ (no matter how visible). It is (or will be) a legitimate purchase option at some point. Just rank it lower than the lowest base package and let it stand or fall on its own merits. Yet it (the Logos 4 minimum cross-grade) has always been

  • Re: Logos 5 Upgrade

Wouldn't this have worked better in reverse? Rather than push out massive package updates with GB's of data, they could have offered the cross-grade to existing customers for a fee (I would pay up to $150) in advance of the revised base package offerings. Without any metrics (and this is a big assumption), it seems like that would have had less of a

  • Re: Upgrading

I get this, but the confusion others are experiencing points to a marketing problem associated with keeping the same base package designations. Might have been better to change the names so there was no point of reference or comparison. Customer confusion is indicative of a marketing failure. I should know since I spent 17 years in marketing before

I am with you. Had the Platinum upgrade on my list for January. Not now. Time to regroup and reevaluate.
Ah! I was so close of getting the upgrade to platinum and with that getting the New International Greek Text Commentary and Pillar New Testament Commentary . I was really looking forward of using those two great resources

I am disappointed that the New International Greek Commentary was removed from Gold and Pillar NTC from the Platinum package. Somewhat underwhelmed at this point (from a content point of view).

  • Re: Faithlife promo is confusing...to the point of being misleading

Thanks for your response Dave. Hopefully Logos will include an "opt out" process (clearly communicated to existing users) prior to the paid launch IF the current plan is to begin auto-charging on the previously specified date.

  • Re: Logos 4 Original Languages vs BibleWorks 9

Bibleworks can show multiple versions with more than one verse at a time. Use the command line to enter a verse range rather than a single verse. Also this can be accomplished with the synopsis tool. These really are two different programs and I hesitate to compare them. I own both and use both regularly.
