Can you kindly let me know what the prepub price on this was?

Lexham Press books have been tickling my interest for some time, especially the latest batch. Now they are on sale on Kindle for 5.99 as opposed to an average of 14.99 on Logos' Christmas sale. I understand the usual 'why Kindle books are cheaper than Logos editions' reasoning but given that is Faithlife's own imprint, I would have loved to own them

So I found the conflicting app. Its CAM software from NZXT that I use to control my AIO cooler (yes, I game and type sermons on the same PC ) Shift+O brings up CAM's overlay on games showing FPS and CPU temps and so on. FOr some reason (probably the use of DirectX perhaps), Logos is seen as a game by CAM and Shift+O tries to bring up this graphical

Thanks Graham. After your reply, I tried two things 1. Hitting Shift + O on the same Logos install - crash 2. Doing the same thing on a separate install I have on my Surface Pro. no crash but some visual weirdness in the library pane There didnt seem to be any pertinent info in the Logos logs so I went to event viewer and found this. Faulting application

I am sure someone has reported this but I am surprised this bug is still around

Looks like the page now only shows two books. The third book is no longer cited.

Any updates?

I second this. Christianity Today's book Of The Year!

Dustin, thanks for this skill but I do not have an Echo. Would it be possible to hook up these skills to IFTTT? Then, it opens up a world of possibilities!

I havent received the email yet. Any suggestions on what to do?

I have not received an email and I qualify 😁
In order to qualify for the free one-year subscription, you had to have placed a Pre-Pub order during the promotional period (5/16-5/31) AND had your order processed when the product shipped

Stephen, I agree. Thats why I mentioned its not a 'good look', because in reality, there would be two backend infrastructures underpinning the app and the website. BUT most users wont differentiate between the backend of the app, and the backend of the website.

[quote user="Geo

An off topic aside, Android 7.0 Nougat was also released today. What are the odds??
-
I have to say its getting pretty repetitive for the Logos site to get hammered whenever there is a major event. For a company with a major push towards cloud-based features, that is not a good look in my humble opinion.

Does subscription only mean 'Logos Now' and Logos Cloud only? I am guessing these items dont require their own subscriptions/
-
Yes. This sale definitely again calls into question prepub value. Best to treat prepub as a real preorder now and not as a deal.

Will this get upgrades in the future?

I agree with Everett. An academic definition of plagiarism is probably too broad for sermons. In fact, as another anecdote goes, if you truly hear something new from the pulpit, you might want to be extra-cautious. I look at other sermons similar to commentaries, purely from an exegetical point of view. Sometimes, like BillS said, they are good fodder for illustrations, including using a quote from the sermon itself (with proper accreditation of course.) With regards to sermon collections, they can be helpful (I have a couple including Piper's) in Logos as part
