• Re: Should Faithlife use Kickstarter instead of Pre Pub?

I backed the Kickstarter for 'Picturing Scripture' and I backed this one too. :) That being said, Prepub could take some ideas from Kickstarter. In general, I think Prepub (not community) prices could be lower and you could offer higher tiers with more rewards. For eg., there is a recent prepub that bundles in Barclay's 'The Gift' with a couple of other

DAL, you make some good points. On a tangent, I have $10 in prepub credit that I keep forgetting to apply to my orders. Doh!

  • Re: NAC Sale, Except 1 Corinthians?

Generally, I do not find the NAC to be a go-to for any indepth study. They are always competent, and many of them are exceptionally readable. I would say pick the volumes where you are lacking in coverage otherwise and maybe add on my strategy of getting volumes written by those I have a fondness for. Now, the NAC series on theology is a great series

  • Re: NAC Sale, Except 1 Corinthians?

I don't know what the right time is, but I do think 3 months is too short for a pre-pub to be devalued. Again, this is in the Logos context. Its a result of their business model. The closest analogy I can think of is perhaps digital games or movies, where you pay a discounted preorder price, then it jumps to retail price on release and then gets massively

  • Re: NAC Sale, Except 1 Corinthians?

DAL, It was released Oct 1. I was on the prepub so I got it for 19.99. I understand Logos' motivation for not putting this on sale, since it would completely devalue getting it on Prepub if waiting for three months nets you an even bigger discount. No point needling Logos with the Amazon screenshot. We all have had this discussion before. I have many

  • Picturing Scripture - Beautiful!

I received my Kickstarter backed copy of 'Picturing Scripture' yesterday. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/faithlife/picturing-scripture-a-coffee-table-book It is spectacular, with a level of polish that would make any high-end publisher proud. Good job Faithlife!

  • Re: $4.99 Advent Sale

DAL, I have appreciated your passion on these forums but this seems a bit high handed and misplaced. 1. No one here is blaming Logos for anything. In fact, the only hint of accusation came from you ('usually miscommunicate things') 2. There is a full acknowledgment of accountability that we waited too long, for whatever reason. 3. Taking advantage of

I would like to secind this request. Missed the cutoof on Christmas Eve.
Dear Faithlife, Would you please kindly consider extending the $4.99 Advent book sale for a few more days, for those of us who unfortunately missed the Christmas Eve deadline? Thanks! Peter
• Re: Canadians What Is Your Purchasing Strategy

I have asked Logos in the past about having more payment options other than credit card. I am in the same boat as others: only great deals and a few prepubs get a look in now. I have cancelled many pre-pubs recently due to the dollar. One thing I might put thought into is to get a US denominated credit card, backed by a US savings account at my bank

  • Re: Do you incorporate a paper Bible in you studies and note taking

I got back into paper Bibles after 5 years due to the Bible design 'fad'! I carry a Pitt-Minion ESV to church and have a reader's edition ESV at home for family devotions. I love Logos but there is something about these paper Bibles that is unparalleled by the digital age.

One of the items I got for Black Friday was a 128 gb microsd card to put in my surface. I plan on moving OneDrive, Pictures and Videos to it to keep as much of the SSD free as possible. • Re: Surface Pro 4 m3 and Logos

I would think that if you keep your startup items list small, Logos should run fine though startup times might be longer. I have a Core i5. My suggestion would be to buy it from the Microsoft Store, and as long as you handle it properly, they have a 30 day return policy. This video seems to explain the differences a bit. https://www.youtube.com/watch

Good review Brian of the m3. That model has not been reviewed much anywhere, but the fanless setup and Skylake should make it plenty potent for daily use, as you have said.
For the sake of a battery life I would recommend switching to a different browser. Chrome is a resource hog and eats batteries for lunch. Opera is also Chromium based. So I'd recommend using either Firefox or Edge. Glad the SP4 is working well for you. I have a SP3 and it's practically made for using Logos. The form factor is
