• Re: Can Logos Make Faster Software?

Yes. The web app should be Logos lite. I am sure there will be a share of complaints about how that will be an online only experience but the Web is the platform of the future and it does have the potential of offering you pretty much the same functionality as the desktop app but accessible through a wide range of machines. When are these sent? I subscribed yesterday to Now. Would I get the deals for September or do I have to wait for October?

Does anyone leave Logos running all the time, allowing the laptop/computer to hibernate or sleep as needed? If yes, is that a better experience than exiting and restarting Logos? • Re: Logos 7 - What should it offer?

I don't think that is the same. Logos Cloud is still primarily a desktop based application with an unfortunate name. My needs would be met by Biblia/Logos Now web app being on feature parity with the desktop apps.

I am sure this has been suggested in the earlier pages but a true cloud

I am sure this has been suggested in the earlier pages but a true cloud version of Logos made available to all users (free or paid), that works in any modern browser. All content indexed in the cloud for searches Notes and highlights sync between the web and the cloud (Optional) Integration of collaboration functions like shared comments and notes within

  • Re: Master Journal Bundle 2.1

I do not have the first MJB. I am guessing some of the volumes in this new pre-order includes Journals already produced/delivered? In that case, do I get all the older journals at the time 2.1 is released or is there some other timeframe?

I have an Android phone but I agree the Logos iOS app is more polished (not necessarily that the Android app is lacking any features, the iOS app feels more refined)

  • Re: Can I import a digital book that I own into Logos?

Does this book have decent tagging in Logos for journals and other types of footnotes and references? To be honest, of late, I have seen many Logos books which could be tagged well but have not been.
Eric, it sounds like you are saying that you purchased a Kindle version of this rather than one offered in Logos. If that

  • Re: Zondervan Must Really Hate Logos and It's Users

Agree. My River Flame library of Christian books has expanded alongside my Logos library precisely because of this. Though I do wish often that the River company had bible verse popups and better footnote support in its Android app.
It took a while. However, I finally realized that there are books in which Logos tagging

  • Re: Did anyone really buy the Zondervan/Nelson complete bundle??

I think you overestimate the paying potential of most 'secular' jobs but I see your point. The price on this is crazy but the whole point of a collection like this is crazy. It caters to a hoarding mentality that is more easily indulged in the digital world than in print. I confess I fall prey to that when it comes to things like commentaries (or something

  • Re: Did anyone really buy the Zondervan/Nelson complete bundle??

With Zondervan now owning/preferring two competing digital platforms, I think us Logos users will regularly find ourselves paying a premium for their products and missing out on some decent offers, such as free digital access to the NIV study Bible when you buy a print version.

  • NIV Study Bible - Images

Hi, I was just peeking through the new NIV SB. I found the OT Chronology timeline chart to be really small and no way to open it separately into a bigger view. Interestingly enough, it works better in Biblia/Logos web app because you can right-click and choose to view the image in a new browser tab. Any ideas on how to do something similar in the Logos

  • Re: WBC vs NICOT/NT

Francis is right. NIC is solidly evangelical (though you might be surprised in some volumes) whereas WBC is more techncial. The NIC is the better read while you have to work with the WBC - the format is much better in the digital iteration than print but it is still busy and reader-unfriendly. The NIC has some 'weird' volumes, especially the older ones

  • Re: Dr. Heiser's Book Now Available - The Unseen Realm

This is what I find confusing about Faithlife once in a while - the resources that they generate should (in my humble opinion) drive users to use their platforms. You can bet that if Amazon published books (which they do with Kindle singles and so on), they would be priced in a way that increased the visibility of their platform. This book looks interesting

  • Re: 6 vs now vs cloud

Ah. I actually asked the same question when Logos 6 was launched. Essentially, FL sees the webapp at app.logos.com (available in Now) to eventually become a credible substitute for the desktop app offering most of the same feature set. However, at this point (very early beta), it is just a slightly better version of Biblia.com. FL has said they are

  • Re: 6 vs now vs cloud

Someone else might be able to phrase this better but think of Cloud as being an alternative to Logos base Packages. Cloud comes with a set of resources for a monthly subscription fee. Now on the other hand augments the Logos app itself by providing tools that are either exclusive to Now or are released earlier for Now prior to being offered for the

That is indeed a mess. Once I go back home I will have to check what volumes actually downloaded for me and compare it to the full WBC list on the website.
Although this has been changed some this morning it is still messed up. I could spend $117.09 or 3 x $9.99. I only need 3 volumes to complete the set.
