• Re: Zondervan sale isn't much of a sale

I dont think NIVAC is on sale as individual volumes

. The only sale lately that I thought was a good deal for the customer was the NIVAC and it wasn't even advertised, as if it was a secret, until someone who stumbled across the sale prices posted it in the forums.
Just curious why NIVAC at 9.99

  • Re: Ok - WBC and "New to You" - isn't it working correctly or not?

I believe you will get $5.36 back in October as credit, which makes this the better deal for you if you did wish to complete the collection. But to be fair, I have to say that is confusing and secondly, seems like weird math. In my books, if this was to be a loyalty discount (which it kind of is), it should have been 9.99 per volume in the collection

Mine was 10.73 too. However, is there a way to find which volume actually downloaded apart from opening the Logos desktop app? I am away from my Logos install. [I did complete the collection instead of buying the individual volume.]

This is happening to me too. Wonder if all of us in this boat are in a currency other than USD

But the second volume is showing up as $22.95 for me. I don't see a coupon code.
Me too.
• Re: Do I need a dedicated graphics card?

I have a feeling that list has not been updated since it does not include anything in the GTX 900 series. If you do wish to go for a graphics card (like Mark said, this would probably be beneficial only for Lightroom/Photoshop/Premiere), consider something in the GTX 950 or 960 series (latest gen) or drop back a generation to get discounts on the GTX

Just completed the upgrade. Logos runs great on it, though the indexing notification in the new Notification Centre might get annoying soon.

  • Integrate with Google Now On Tap?

http://insidesearch.blogspot.ca/2015/05/now-on-tap.html This was one of the big updates coming out of I/O 2015. I wonder if Logos could have its app indexed somehow so that Bible references and so on could work seamlessly with Now On Tap.

  • Re: MacArthur Sermon Archive - Thousands of Typos - Who is Responsible?

There is a weird one in the very first sermon where its a fillable text box instead of a word. I have to say this should have been easily caught in some kind of QA because 1) it is the very first sermon and 2) Its pretty evident even at a glance. Slightly disappointing

  • Re: Thank You Faithlife For The $20 Off Coupon
Thank you Logos/Faithlife - I bought Motyer's commentary on Isaiah. Written in his retirement, 30 years on from the intro included in the Tyndale series, definitely reflects his 3 decades of study. Already appreciating this volume, watching the 3rd day of Boxing Day Test, air con cranked up, cool can of diet coke...what could
What technique are you using "trying to make it go whole screen"? (Clicking on the maximize button?)
Either dragging the window top bar to the middle top of the screen (Windows 7/8 shortcut) or by hitting the maximize button.

  • Bug - Layout rendering and crashes on window resizing

I find this happens on some of my layouts. The screenshot below shows an example. I had resized this layout to half of my screen by dragging Logos to the left side of my monitor (triggering Windows behaviour to autoresize it to 50% of the screen.) Trying to make it go whole screen causes the behaviour below, where Logos is taking the whole screen but

  • Re: OT: Which area of the monitor do you instinctively focus on?
It is a good question. I see the upper third first and then to the left on all 3 monitors. Why the default opening of the first (or only) resource occurs on the right is still a mystery. I think it was programmed by a student of Hebrew...heheheh...as the AFAT and other Hebrew resources open in the right place depending
Do you do this when walking outside as well? You might want to train yourself to look up or straight ahead rather than down. It's better for your neck, your eye muscles, and you will see more of the world around you. I used to walk looking down at the sidewalk all the time (for fear I might step in some dog poo or something
This may be the physical position of your monitor relative to the physical position of your eyes. What happens if you change position? For me "eye level" is 3 or 4 lines from the top. Have you considered tiling your Bible and other preferred linked resource to the bottom half of the screen?
My eye level is similar

  • OT: Which area of the monitor do you instinctively focus on?

I find that my eyes are naturally drawn to the bottom of the screen. So in a Logos resource, say the ESV bible, the verse I am currently reading in the passage is usually in the lower 1/3rd of the screen. This is not a big deal of course except when it comes to functionality like linked resources, where the topmost verse is taken as the point of reference

  • Re: Logos by Subscription?

Bob, Thanks for the question. I am admittedly part of the Netflix generation which is used to the 'licensing as opposed to ownership' model - one which many of us have accepted to gain the benefits of accessibility and seamlessness that model provides. But I dont think a full Logos subscription would be economically feasible for many users - for eg
