• "This Resource is Not Currently Available On This Device" - Logos Bible Software 8.6 8.6.0.0052 on macOS system

My desktop program gets the error "This Resource is Not Currently Available On This Device but here's a preview" when I try to open resources from my library. I am running Logos 8.6 8.6.0.0052 on macOS system fully updated. Any thoughts?

  • Re: No longer possible to send books to Kindle?

In my experience, Logos has almost always been more than accommodating and communicative over the years. When I've had an issue they've been professional and gracious in making the situation right. This said, I would like to see another export option available for my resources. The Kindle export feature was a BIG reason I went all in w/ electronic resources

Very sad to hear of this. I wish I would have heard of it before today. This feature is a MAJOR draw to Logos and one reason I have chosen to buy logos formats over other features.

I would like a way to sign up for updates/details on the new journal shipments. I just happened to look at the site tonight and found out about 2.1. It would be great to have a renewal feature with a discount too if you commit to buying all 4 shipments.

  • Re: Do you want every ebook in the world in Logos?

Point of clarity. The Logos ecosystem has the Loeb library, correct? What's the difference between 50 Shades and many of the great Greek plays? Many of the great Greek plays are vulgar are they not? Vulgar or not they are useful for research and cultural understanding. I'm inclined to have the whole catalog 50 Shades and all.

I'd be in if it offered a journal access option. I like to own resources but journals are different in a way.

I thought I would take a minute and provide an update to my original post. Last year I wrestled with the long term value of electronic resources like Logos. I have since come to some conclusions. In short I have decided, for the first time ever, to spend around 75% of my resource budget exclusively on Logos products. To quote Tim Challies, “After years
And the EULA which is on the disk contains all of this.
When I put in the old Libronix disk I didn't see a EULA, but I don't doubt there is one somewhere on the CD. The problem is it isn't on the outside of the old CD case where one can read before purchasing. If one simply comes across a product's packaging at a store
The problem is, however, that you aren't interested in the "physical property." You are interested in an electric resource, which is bound by licensing agreements.
The electronic resource was packaged on a "physical" CD. No licensing agreements on transferability are noted on the physical resource. [quote user="alabama24

I disagree that print analogies don't apply however. Does Logos still compares the cost of base packages to the cost of print material? As the title of my original post stated, I'm rethinking the ultimate,
As others have said, you didn't legally buy this software.
I understand what you're really saying and Logos' position, but my answer is... I did buy the software. I certainly didn't steal it or hold a gun up to someone to buy "Bible Study" software. I legally exchanged currency for a physical product in its original packaging

There is a great deal of debate over the future of digital media and people's "investments" in proprietary platforms like

I recently bought a CD based Libronix resource from a party online. The product had been opened/used, but contained all original packaging (case/cds/papers/etc) and the original serial number and activation code. After attempting to activate it with customer service over the phone I was told the product could not be activated without a letter from the
