i think I have settled on Reymond's A New Systematic Theology of the Christian Faith and the Commentary on the New Testament Use of the Old Testament,. You guys are so helpful and it was a great list of suggestions - I looked into each one! Logos is addictive! Joe

Looks WONDERFUL, but clearly inconsistent with my vow of poverty :)

I don't know much about dictionaries. It would be handy because my first read of the bible, exciting as it is, does unearth many terms with which I'm not familiar. Is Eerdman's thought of as the best or most complete?

Oh, and I'm currently doing my 1st read of the OT - just entered Deuteronomy.

Thanks, TB. I actually have Culver's in hard copy. Grudem's has been on my mind. Oden, too.

This is peanuts to wealthy folks but, even though I have Scholars Platinum and LOTS of books to read in it, I just got a gift card for $50. I'd like to add to my Logos colection with it, I know it's not enough to do huge things, but what ideas do you all have for something I can invest in as I am still early in my Christian walk. By way of info, I have

Thank you! Jared was able to get me squared away.

Great advice! That guy is on top of it. Thanks!

I wrote an email a couple days back to Jim Ray in sales because he was recommended highly in here. Unfortunately, I've not heard a peep back from him even though the email address did not bounce. Is he still with Logos?

On the PC Version, you can right-click on the bar just below the word "View" and a menu pops up that allows you to choose the fields displayed. One of these is "Type" and, once checked on that menu, you can then sort on it. Hope that has an intuitive Mac parallel.

Wow! I'm still so new to Logos that I did not even know this was coming - but placed my order last night when I saw this. So thanks, Jacob! Baxter is, in my opinion, a giant. And fabulous writer with a remarkable range of subjects; more practical than esoteric, in my experience. Shame to even have to wait another two months, eh?

Are you happy with it, Timothy?

I preface this by saying that I don't have much money. Certainly not the level of funds commensurate with my voracious reading appetite! That said, I can't help but stare longingly at the Calvin 500 collection on Logos' site. He is a fascinating character to me. Both pastoral and scholarly, he seems not as fiery as Luther but I believe that his theology

I have old eyes so reading my desktop version of Logos through a viewer is a strain for me. If you can live with scaled down features, however, the iPad app the Logos designed is fairly spiffy. it is a very functional app for reading but lacks the acoutrements that make L4 so plush. The thing is that I never dug reading from my laptop screen so I now

Go in peace, Sandy. I wish you the best.
