On the Logos website there appears to be an option to increase the playback speed of the sample videos. But on the course I own, in the desktop app, I can't find anywhere that would allow me to do this. Is there a way to speed up the lecture videos? Some are spoken at such a slow pace that is hard to sit through.

I think the new logo looks great.

Thank y'all so much for this Counseling Guide. It will be immensely helpful for pastoring. Is there a way to view an index of all the terms available within the guide?
-
Great thread! I am super pumped about the updated Factbook and the Counseling Guide! The Counseling Guide will be immensely helpful for me. When I saw that, I upgraded immediately to have that functionality. Counseling is an area where I know as a pastor I am deficient, so to have this resource will be so helpful! The Factbook revamp and the Factbook
You can tag the note with multiple tags so it would appear when searching for either tag but notes can't be in multiple notebooks
Thank you. This is what I figured last night after posting. Essentially creating a SERMON STARTER folder through tagging or simply including those words on the note and using the search
-
This may have already been asked, but I can't ever get the search function on the forums to work right. Probably user error. I want to store a note in 2 separate notebooks. For example, I wrote a devotional note that I want in my devotional notebook, but that note is also a good beginning for a future sermon, so I want to place it in my SERMON STARTER

It's concise and direct. You can get a quick orientation before you decide whether you need to go deeper in your standard commentaries.
This is perfect for me. For

AH! I just figured it out. Under "generate a reading plan," you need to type in your books in a certain way. Separate books in each section by a "-". Such as "1 Sam-Job" Then you separate that reading from another with "|" So your end result will look like: "1 Sam-Job | Matt-Acts | Psalms" That would give you a plan in which you would have 3 readings
-
I want to create a reading plan similar to the M'Cheyne that will auto generate each day that consists of multiple books of different genres . I know I can semi-do this through the drop down that lumps together OT, NT, Torah, Prophets, and even OT+NT+Prov+Psalm. But I want to customize which books are read together, such as 1 Samuel and Romans. I would
What you need to do is tap anywhere in the verse in question, then tap the three verticle dots in the top right corner of the screen and add “Make a note” - that will attach it to the selected verse.
This is helpful. Thanks.
Or upon reading the bible when I come across a note that does not display fully, upon clicking it it opens the note and links in the pop up similar to footnotes, with an option to open the note. This way the note tool does not need to be open to read previously written notes.
I second this. The current setup makes
You have to first move the notes out of the notebook.
Thanks. I figured out how to bulk remove them. For those who have the same question on how to bulk remove fast: Hold shift, select a couple notes at the top of the notebook, then scroll to the bottom and select the last. That should select all of them. Then

I don't like how I utilized my notebooks for organization. I overlooked the great tool of Faithlife provided through filters. How do I delete a notebook WITHOUT deleting the notes contained in it?

Could Faithlife at least tell us that they'll give us some advance notice that the discount will end at a certain time?
They will. FL is trying to get income bumped up quickly and yet give people time to learn about L8 and decide to make a purchase. I think the last couple of times they delayed until
Just to confirm. We are aware of this issue and I'll see about adding it to the FAQ.
2 eProps for you

I do agree that automatic hyperlinking would be very helpful. Though I am going to go on record and say I love the new notes tool and am pretty excited about Logos 8
-
Thank you so much Graham! You are incredibly helpful.
-
I see how to link to a bible text within the notes editor, but I cannot figure out how to link to a specific location in a resource that is not the Bible. I can't find how to do this. For example, how would I link within a note anchored to Colossians 1:15 to a section within a commentary on Colossians?

Dilly Dilly Faithlife (are we allowed to say that?)
-
Agreed. I am loving dark mode too. I would love to see this implemented in Logos.
