• How to attach a quote to a passage

What is the easiest/best way to attach a quote to a particular passage? For instance, I find a quote from a church father that connects well with a verse in 1 Timothy. I want to attach it to that passage so that if I preach from that passage in the future, the quote will show up in my study.

The only problem with that solution is my previous laptop's display (most likely graphics card) went out and I have no way to open programs on it...I will be pulling the hard drive to extract other files and data, would I be able to access Logos resources that way? Are they saved to a specific directory

I don't know what happened, but it appears that I may be back in business! I opened up logos and the massive download is gone, and it appears that my library is fully there...
Paul—I see you are trying to install Logos 5 on a new macbook. Do you have a backup of your old computer—at least of the Logos resources? If you do, you can skip a lot of the downloading by using the backup-- https://wiki.logos.com/Quick_Installation_onto_Multiple_Macs
The only problem with that solution is my previous laptop
Paul - the terminal command fix is L6 only as it requires things not compatible with earlier versions of OSX. It is my understanding that making the fix available in L5 would break compatibility for users of older versions of OS X not supported in L6... Or something like that. I would call customer service and ask for relief

Thanks for the tip! I've tried running that command at terminal. But, it doesn't seem to have changed much.... Each time I open Logos, it shows a different gb amount being downloaded and a different percentage of completion. For example: Now, I'm not completely familiar with terminal commands, so I hope that by just copy and pasting that in and pressing

  • Download content on new laptop taking a long time

I am setting up my new laptop. Is it normal for Logos to take a very long time to download my library content? It seems like it has been at around the 50% point for quite some time....

Hmmm interesting. So does that mean that Google (ie the Nexus 7) is more open in terms of what they allow in their app store? Sorry, I'm new to the tablet world :)

Thanks for the feedback! I'm really just looking at the Kindle Fire for purely study and reading. Not a ton of extra apps and distractions. So it sounds like Logos works smoothly on it, which is a primary app I'd be using.

  • Kindle Fire HD experience

HI, I'm considering purchasing a Kindle Fire HD. I use Logos on my MacBook Pro, but am looking to also have a nice way to have my study resources on the go. The iPad mini would be great, but I just can't quite justify the cost. I would love to hear from any who use Logos on the Fire HD - what's your experience? how well does it run? are you satisfied

Great! Thanks Doc B. I like the way you've got things organized. I'm loving Logos, just trying to figure out how to best utilize all the tools in a effective and efficient way....

Great! Yes, I was wondering about that exact thing (being able to see my note in other translations). So thanks. I'm guessing then, that it is best to use the notes tool and just simply connect it to the reference. Paul
