  • Re: AWS Cloud Server

Yep, you're down a bunny track. This is a Windows machine running in the cloud, not just cloud storage. The operating system, processors, memory, and disk space are all in the cloud, just like a standalone machine on your desk but out there somewhere. And it is SSD. And since it's the equivalent of a desktop machine, but doesn't have a monitor, you

Yup, it had 30GB free before I installed.

  • Re: AWS Cloud Server

Understood. I still think there's a bug, though, since RDP from Chromebook to Windows 7 Enterprise causes Logos to crash somewhere between a disconnect and reconnect. For the record, in case anyone else wants to install to a cloud server, on AWS I used the t2.medium AMI with a 40GB EBS. After installing Chrome and Logos Gold, I have 6.7GB free. I'll

  • Re: AWS Cloud Server

Great. That's what I needed. It's up and running on a virtual machine in the cloud. The problem I'm having now is that Logos crashes whenever I disconnect/reconnect the remote desktop (RDP). That was happening when I used RDP from my Chromebook into my desktop Windows machine too. I was hoping the Windows 2012R2 server in the cloud wouldn't have that

  • AWS Cloud Server

I'm thinking about moving Logos to an Amazon Web Service EC2 "server in the cloud." Now just so I'm clear, this isn't for anyone else to access, it's an effort to move this off my company-owned machine into a server I control and can access from anywhere, meaning from school in the near future. What I need to estimate is the server size (processing

  • Highlighting panel, 2 column?

I do a lot of inductive highlighting and have a bunch of my own highlighting palettes. I finally got myself a nice wide monitor and it would really save a lot of scrolling up and down if I could just have two columns in the highlighting panel. Or is there a trick for this? I use the shortcut keys as much as possible, and that helps, but only so much

  • Re: Completed LT-161. What's next?

I am so thankful for your recommendation. I did, and for $65 I knew I couldn't go wrong. The videos are fantastic. I've already learned several completely new things from just the couple fundamental videos I've had time for so far. This is great! I'm saving a fortune!

  • Completed LT-161. What's next?

LT-161, Logos 6 Academic Training, was great. I wish Morris was my dad. But it didn't cover everything. For example, it only covered a couple of the document types, and didn't touch morph searches, visual filters, and I'm wondering what else that I don't know I don't know. So what's a good place to pick up from there? I'm about to start seminary and

I'm getting the same result as Rick...spinning spinning spinning. I have "Basic" search, then "Search grace for" and "*" in the search box... Oh my gosh, it actually did finish just now. Rick, it may take a few minutes!

How do you do an inline search for highlighting?

  • Re: Breakout 6: Commentary says "see note on v..."

Oh wow, no I didn't realize it was two links...the color change is so subtle I didn't notice. That's fantastic. I'm even happier now! And as a bonus, hovering on "note" shows the commentary AND the verse. Wow. Thank you!

  • Re: Breakout 5: Show my highlights

Ok. Another place is when I hover in a commentary and it shows a Bible verse. I realize I might not be able to highlight there due to the limited functionality of a pop-up, but I would like to see my existing highlights there. I guess what I'm saying is, anywhere I might see my LEB text show up, whatever tool or resource, I want to see my highlights

  • Re: Breakout 2: Scrolling

I think this was worse when I was running on battery, which makes the machine slow down to conserve power. However, I was also able to stop scrolling, and the linked resources never did re-position. So I think I know why I get stuttering scolling, but maybe be seeing a bug in linked resources. In another thread someone pointed me to a conversation about

  • Re: Breakout 7: What are those right angle brackets?

They go away when I deselect Non-Bible Text, but I didn't want to lose the other stuff that goes away, like book names, section headings. Seems like they should go away when Footnote Indicators is deselected instead, since you say they are related to footnotes. Maybe an enhancement request.

  • Re: Breakout 6: Commentary says "see note on v..."

Oh wow, I thought it happened everywhere. I'm seeing it in the FSB. Is this something I can report as a typo inside the book using the right-click menu or do I need to report it somewhere else?

Ok, that's cool for a Bible search, and thank you. But there are other places the Bible text appears. Here's an example: The parallel Gospel reader.

  • Re: Breakout 3: Linked resource behavior

I understand your examples of clicking on links, but I don't understand why you don't think this is possible. If I click a verse in the Bible, not a link, just a verse, the reference box updates. If the resources are linked, I as a simple user would expect all the reference boxes to update. I don't want to scroll because it's too hard on the eyes, but

Oh that's great for the iPad. Not sure how I missed it. But yeah, I'm also asking about PC, where I would find night mode valuable too since I like to work in the dark.

  • Breakout 7: What are those right angle brackets?

In LEB, there are right angle brackets frequently around words and phrases. I can't figure out what they mean, and I can't seem to make them disappear. So what do they mean, and how can I hide them so they're not so distracting? See Eze 1 1, "Kebar River":
