  • Re: Pronuntiations Tools ???

I got the Greek Audio New Testament about three years ago at the same price. I think it was worth that price. If you have any of the dozen or so compatible Greek resources, it is easy to use. (I assume the original languages package does have some or all of them, but I don't know it does without a search.) The delivery is relatively euphonious . I usually

Actually I'm still shy two volumes. I got some help on that several months ago in getting the laptop couts together. All I need to do is find that series of posts. Generally everything is fine. - jdp

Rick- The first link set me up in 9 and a half hours. The desktop is definitely faster than the laptops. Thanks for your input. - jdp

Kevin - It was one of second options (WIKI) that I remember from my second laptop, but tried your first link. It worked. After the install, the resource download took about 8 hours but the initial indexing only took about an hour and a half. The library count says I have everything. I'll see. I still to set up all my fonts and such for my eyesight.

  • Platinum Logos 4 Needs Set Up on a New Machine

I've got my Platinum L4 setup on two old modest VISTA Ultimate laptops. One is dying so I got a new Windows 7 desktop. How do I get my L4 Platinum software set up and transfer the 3400-3500 books onto the new big machine? I reviewed the WIKI and FAQS for about 45 minutes, but all installation references seem to refer to updae installs not set ups. Two

'O frabjous day! Callooh! Callay!' Many thanks to you all - Allen, Alan, Dominick. Richard, Kevin, Dave and Mark. I find at my age I can be dense in many languages and situations. I eventually drew a bit from each of your responses. Awaiting a result or message, I may have done the final scan three times. However, both of my Logos 4 now have 2690 resources

DH- I mapped the link to the 2690 server L4 Resource Manager directory with a network drive letter Z: and the L4 command prompt recognized on this server (2688) the SCAN command, but returned no result. I've noticed the restart in your list. Despite no result returned from SCAN Z:, I try the restart for a possible new load. Tnank, We'll see.-jdp

KB- I do have L4 installed on both my servers from the Logos server. I do still have Libronix (ols L3) installed on the machine with the greater count although I do not use the old L3. -jdp

RD- (1) The link/map used in the SCAN was server\\drive\directory since it from the other machine. I did notice when I try a local folder and start with the drive instead of the server that Logos does seem to recognize the SCAN command may be ment . However, thus far it has returned nothing. I'm having problems finding SCAN in L4 Help but I'm sure still

Alan and Allen - I'm probably not reading your suggestions correctly, but after doing a network share mapping of the Logos 4 Resource Manager directory on the other machine, I entered in the Logos 4 command prompt "SCAN network-link-L4RM-directory" . Logos 4 does not recognize SCAN as a command but searches for the word SCAN in the linked/mapped L4RM

Again, thanks, I will eventually try both and note any eventual success. The first response is likely to take me a while even if I can whittle down the mapping. -jdp

Thanks. When I described comparing libraries previously, it was by saving output lists across the network and then comparing them in Windows. I had hoped for a Logos 'compare' since it is the software for which the automatic update seems to have failed so that Logos could correct its own error when specified. However, I'll try mapping the entire C:

  • Library Number of Resources Inconsistent on two Logos 4 macines.

I have my LOGOS 4 Scholar Platinum JG on two Windows Vista Ultimate computers, and I have had automatic update turned on since I first went to Logos 4 two years ago, yet the Logos library on one machine shows 2688 volumes and on the other Logos library shows 2690. I have no outstanding updates as I have stopped and started each recently for resource

I was very pleased that Logos put out the notice of resources affected by the updates the next Day. It helps to narrow down checking for possible problems. It may have been mentioned, but why were there two updates: "...a" and then "...a SR1"? What was the difference?

Logos sync server seems to be up as were the other servers.A'sync now' had failed. The L4 log showed the L4 Bible S/W SSL Certificate was suddenly denied. L4 restart had not helped, but a shutdow, pause n and startup not just a restart of the VISTA Ultimate on each machine, reset enough items so that I'm sync'ing again. Thanks for your attention. -

Since last night's update neither of our two machine will synchronize with the Logos server although it applied without error. Is this common or is the Logos server for synch just down all day? - Platinum on VISTA Ultimate.. I've restarted Logos 4 several times on each through the day. - jp

  • Re: Free SBL Greek New Testament

The only synch problem I've had is the occassional '401' between my L4 and Logos itself, which thus far (when my internet access is up) I've been attributing to the Logos server responsible for that function being down. I was seeking (1) someone in the know saying 'yes' or 'no' on my assumption. The second was (2) how the free 'stuff' downloaded automatically

I have Platinum L4 on two Vista Ultimate machines (with the old L3 Gold still on one). I had already had two automatic updates this week on each L4. Today, I 'bought' the SBLGNT from the machine with L4 only. Several closes and opens seemed to have failed to download it. I checked the other machine, it had already downloaded - presumably on one of this

  • Re: Problems with Synch

I've gotten the '401' at least four times. Assuming I'm connected to the internet, it usually means some sort of server maintenance at Logos, right? It is usually back after a couple of hours. It might be less but, two or three hours seems to work so far.

  • Logos 4 and the French Bible translations

I have L4 Platinum and the Segond version. While I know that 3 other French translations, among others, are available with the Stuttgart Electronic Study Bible (SESB), the SESB is only available as CD and therefore, I understand, not usable with L4 Platinum or L4 in general. Does this mean that if we have the current Logos 4, that the Louis Segond is
