I think alabama got "hot" for so many other complainers around. No?
I was upset with someone for rude and inconsiderate behavior. It is one thing to suggest improvements. It is quite another to come in here and behave as the OP did.
Seriously? My original post wasn't even remotely rude
But having mucho apps on my iPad (like everyone else), and being a former developer (like everyone else), my impression is very few apps are well designed. I'm not even sure why. My guess (and a serious one) is that most devs loved game-playing with hidden doors, etc. Prettyboy apps are far more important than ease-of-use. [/quote

Randy, I wouldn't consider the UI fantastic. The Logos iOS app gets trumped very easily by a more standard design. Try PocketSword by CrossWire for iPhone sometime. It's an iOS6 UI, but being more standardised, it allows me to switch from bible to commentary to dictionary and between all of my resources very quickly. It's not a perfect UI and the app

And DHG, I may add a list of things, but the Logos devs aren't morons. I'm not whining for a list of features. I'm asking they go back to the drawing board because I know they make something better.
-
So a few things. The first is that in my past I've been a software developer. I know a good UI when I see one. The Logos iOS app doesn't have a well designed UI. That's not debatable. Do some research and you'll see that by all UI design standards it fails quite badly. The iPad is a computer. It just runs a different OS. Sure, you can't have an app

Okay, so there's no simple answer that kind of a question, but I'll explain what I mean in asking it. For the most part I enjoy the PC and Mac versions of Logos 5, but whenever I pick up my iPad or iPhone to follow along, I find myself constantly annoyed at how it's designed. I've been using it for a long time and it does allow me to do a lot from a

Thanks guys for the links, articles and other helpful stuff! :) I did try the wildcard search using a *, but things took so long I thought I'd broken something. So, the explanation about it is really helpful.

Thanks Dave also! It's a shame there's no easy way to list everything He said :P Any other thoughts?
-
Thanks MJ, but that clause search doesn't work (there's no 'verb:said') and the bible search, while able to search through the words of Christ, doesn't have an easy way to list the passages that contain what He said. If I search for ANY, like in the clause search, it searches for the word 'any'.

Hi all, I've been trying to do a search for everything Jesus said, but I'm a bit clueless about how to go about getting it done in L5. Any thoughts?
-
Just some followup... I resolved the issue by using the Update Resources command. Very handy!
-
I should mention, part of me wonders if this issue was caused by upgrading L4 to L5. Because the Mac lacks any decent instructions on how to deal with L4 afterwards (unless as I found out, you trawl the forums) I initially removed a few more files than the Logos 4 app. I've restored those, but that might be the cause of the issue.

Thanks Jack. I actually went ahead and followed the normal logging procedure, which went fine, aside from the 'one session' logging not working. Here are the logs. I'm on SR-4, 5.0.0.1835. A brief look at things, and I can't see much out of place. Hopefully someone else can see more than I can :) 8547.Logs.zip

It seems 5516.LogosLogging.app doesn't work. I get an error. Is it supposed to work with Logos 5?
-
Thanks guys. There's no icon on the menu bar. So, I'll try some logging :)

So, after happily upgrading via the Min Crossgrade, I've found that I have the clause search under Windows 8, but not on my trusty Mac laptop. Since everything seems synced between the two, I'm left thinking it's not a setting that's causing the issue. The Mac Logos refuses to update any further, leaving some books missing from the library. Any ideas
-
The minimum crossgrade is exactly what I was hoping for. Thanks Logos!
Thank you Phil for clarifying and for taking time to read/respond to the forums!
Yep, agreed.

Awesome, that's great news... and thanks for the info despite the other threads about the same thing.

Can anyone comment on whether the text rendering has been improved in L5 versus L4? I'm running at 1920x1200, and the fonts just seem... soft. Obviously not the most important thing in the world, but considering Logos is all about reading, it's a shame L4 can only deliver sub-par visuals as far as text is concerned.
