• Re: using FSB in Logos 4

Logos may still be having an issue/delay with adding the FSB to accounts. When I ordered it several weeks ago, it took almost a full day before it showed up in my library. I have not had a similar issue with any other Logos resource.

  • Re: Windows 7 font rendering?

There is a non-MS and non-Logos way to get better rendering in Logos under Win7, but it does have some drawbacks in some other programs. gdipp is a replacement font renderer for Windows, that works in Win7, but I have found rendering issues on other programs where it will drop some letters (Acronis programs seem to be notorious about having missing

Dave, Alas, nothing was saved. Will have to spend SEVERAL hours to get things back on. If it helps Logos any, here's the breakdown of what happened on my end. Last night, was using my Kindle Fire at church (WiFI connected) and had full access to my resources. Put Kindle into sleep mode before leaving. Arrived home, plugged in the Kindle for charging

Same thing happened on my Kindle Fire last night. Had my resources during an evening Bible study at church, but when I wanted to do some reading before bed ... all resources had vanished. Did not FORCE CLOSE the app or log out or anything... the app just apparently "forgot" who I was. Going to have to re-download EVERYTHING AGAIN! Logos - could we PLEASE
Jim - I am unaware of any iPad app which does this. I don't think apple allows it.
Actually, several apps allow similar things. The Kindle App allows you to add books you have that are not bought through the Kindle store through iTunes. You just got to your device's Apps tab and scroll down to "File Sharing". I currently

  • Re: John Piper's Sermon Library

I purchased this one well before L4 rolled out and I must say, it functioned better in the pseudo-commentary department under L3. The "Home" page that would install under L3 for this resource made it much easier to go through the sermon manuscripts by Scripture or topic than a standard search in L4. My current tactic in L4 for this resource and others

I'm getting the same problem in L4Win and the iOS app. The Android App on my phone is working correctly right now though.

  • Need assistance with missing font

Most of my computer work these days is under Linux (Ubuntu 11.04) and I have been trying to setup as close to a "native" Linux setup of Logos4 as possible to keep from the frustrating task of rebooting to gain access to Logos4 (since the idea of a real version of L4 for Linux keeps getting squashed and biblia.com doesn't have all the features I need

  • Re: Interlinear Works in Reverse

Not a Logos pro here, but it probably has to do with the fact that Hebrew reads right to left. That's my guess.

@All First and foremost, I humbly ask forgiveness for running roughshod on the forum guidelines earlier. My comment was inappropriate in this forum and for the original question posted. This topic is a burden for me and my wife, and is one of the areas I wrestle with to keep my composure regarding (which I failed at again last night). @Dan Would love

Andy, what you may fail to realize or just may not know, is that the JW's utterly fail the "prophet test" in Deuteronomy 18:22. Then you add in the Watchtower Society's (WTS) blatant and willful mis-translating Scripture (track down a Kingdom Interliner New Testament to see what I mean). This is not an organization that makes "mistakes", it is an organization

  • Re: My reading plan

Unfortunately, Logos has not secured the rights for the use of the NIV (or related Bibles such as the TNIV) for use with the mobile app. No reading plan you have in L4 (Win/Mac) will display on the mobile app if Logos has not yet acquired the rights from the publisher to use their books in that format as well.

Alas Rosie, the interlinears do NOT display properly in portable formats (iPod/iPhone/iPad/library.logos.com). [:'(] They only display properly (at least for me) in L3 and L4. I would love to see these resources formatted properly in the portable formats.

  • Re: HDNT on iPad is missing markup symbols

I suspect that the problem is related to the fact that the HDNT uses special fonts to handle the markup rendering. If Logos is unable to upload the font to users' iPods/iPhones/iPads then without completely re-writting the HDNT, I doubt that we will see this resource functioning correctly on these platforms. Brother, I feel your pain on this because

Could we maybe have a "forked" install choice (thinking along the Ubuntu release view: rare hard-core STABLE releases and more frequent "minor" updates). We already have the Beta and Stable channels. Maybe Logos could add 6 month channel as well, for those who need the underlying stability enhancements to the engine without needing all the "extras"

Speaking as someone whose wife was in the JWs (and now out - praise be to God), The WTS views anyone who believes counter to the "official" teachings from the WTS headquarters as apostate, which would include Logos. They will not allow any "apostate" permission to publish their material. They keep a very tight grip on their copyrights. Their own software
