New Feature: Corresponding Notes and Highlights (Feature)

What is it?
With Corresponding Notes, you can now see all the notes you've attached to biblical texts with reverse interlinears. Take a note on the Greek word Εὐχαριστοῦμεν (eucharistoumen) in your Greek New Testament, and with the Corresponding Notes feature, you'll see that same note attached to the equivalent translation in your ESV, NIV, NASB, and many other translations.
How does it work?
Corresponding Notes and Highlights only works on resources that have reverse interlinears associated with them. This is because Logos identifies the word number your note is associated with and matches it with the translation you want your note displayed in.
To use the feature, click to open the visual highlights menu, select Corresponding Notes and Highlights, and choose the Note document you want to display.

I am having some difficulty. I am not sure i completely understand. If i attach a note to a particular greek word in a bible with an interlinear, are you saying i will see that note in my other interlinear bibles?

Or

Yes, that is correct. As long as you are using Bibles with morphology (ESV, NASB, etc) and have the featured turned on, this is exactly what you will experience.
Exciting, huh??

I'm struggling in the same way as Orpheus - with regard to Greek words
As far as I know RI-enabled translations do not display notes associated with lemmas - you know an original language text for that. And it doesn't seem as though this new feature changes that unless I am missing something.

I am trying this feature. When I attach a note to a lemma in a bible that has interlinear, it is not showing in other bibles. Can anyone provide assistance? This would be absolutely great if it works.

All Bibles involved must be interlinear, and you must have the feature turned on via the "Corresponding Notes and highlights" option, as seen here. This is accessed via the Visual Filters button (three dots in a triangle) above the Bible. If you do not see this option, you are trying to access the feature via a Bible that is not interlinear.

Ok all. What I have discovered is when I placed a note on the lemma "βαπτίζω" in the NASB, it does not show up in the other English bibles with interlinears, but it shows only in the Greek Bibles.

Yes, but the issue here is that displaying notes associated with lemmas seems to only be supported in original language texts not translations - or are you seeing something different?

The feature described here does not apply to notes attached to lemmas. It applies to notes attached to text ranges. Select some text. Create a note/highlight based on the selected text. Turn on the appropriate notes document in the Corresponding section for your other Bible, and the new note should become visible.

what version does this start in? i have 6.4 SR-3
also, does it work on the mobile app?

what a joke ... it looks like the web says this feature is only available for logos now subscribers. i'm sorry, but i'm not paying a monthly fee in addition to the fees i have already paid over the years to keep my software up to date. this is very disappointing.

I saw your issues about this being available only on a subscription model - but to answer your other questions

It was introduced to Logos Now subscribers in Logos 6.8. And I would recommend upgrading to 6.9 anyway

No - this is only currently available on the desktop platforms

But you don't have to pay a monthly fee to keep your software "up to date." Updates to the software engine are always free. New features however, may require you to pay money... that is how FL stays in business. In the "old" days (up to this point), you would purchase a minimal cross grade OR buy a new base package... else, you would simply get the free engine and gain the free benefits w/o getting the new features which required a purchase. The NEW system is the same EXCEPT that you can gain EARLY access to FUTURE features with a Logos Now subscription.
I have no idea if this feature will be free in the L7 engine or not. If so, you will be able to gain access to it via the free engine. If not, you should be able to gain access to it via a minimal cross grade OR base package purchase, the same as always.
The only change is that some users who are willing to pay a monthly subscription gain early access to features. What's wrong about that?

I'm using Logos Bible Software 6.10 SR-2 6.10.0.0041 and there is NO "Corresponding Notes and Highlights" in my visual filter drop-down for any Bible. Why?
Have a great day,

Are you a Logos Now subscriber? Do you own (and are using) bible's with reverse interlinears? Are the highlights you are trying to see in another translation in a reverse interlinear resource?

Dit this slow down my Libary? I had it few Days before, that I hardly could'nt open my Bible. If I turned it of it works.

I suggest you start a new thread with some more details e.g. is opening your bible the only operation that is slow? What bible? Is it the one with many actual notes/highlights, or a bible with none of its own?

This may be old news by now, but I do not have Logos Now. I only have Bronze 7. And this worked for me--quickly and easily..

You must also have purchased a Feature Set with Bronze to get the Corresponding Notes and Highlights feature.
