Library and Docs cursor focus (easy fix!)

Hello there, I want to point out something that I'd love to see fixed soon. I don't know if it's an issue on Windows or just on Mac, because I only have Logos on my Mac.
The issue is this: when I click on the library or docs icon in the toolbar, the expected user experience is that I should be able to begin typing to search for a book. However, when I click on those icons, the cursor focus goes to the hamburger that toggles the filter menu instead. If I want to search, I have to click on the Find field to begin typing.
I would like to see that changed soon. Specifically, I would like to see that when I click on Library, Docs, Guides, or Tools that the cursor focus goes immediately to the Find field so that I can immediately begin typing. I don't expect that it should be a difficult fix—maybe 10-15 minutes of work by the developers.

I've just checked on Windows and Mac and they both operate the same:
- however I see the focus in the Library, Guides and Tools menu do go directly to the Find box
- In the Docs menu, it looks as though the initial focus is in the Find box but by the time the list of documents has populated focus has moved to the hamburger menu
Can you double-check if you are seeing the behaviour you describe in the Library?

I agree this would be helpful

My experience is different than yours. I'm on 9.1.0.0018. Here's a screencast of what my setup does: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2SBWogG6avc

Thanks - I've gone back and checked again on my Mac.
Yes - I do see the same behaviour as you describe in Docs, Guides and Tools (apologies for not checking more completely earlier)
But in the Library it does place focus in the find box
And we are using the same Logos version.
The only difference I can see is you have Dark Mode enabled and I don't!

I just changed to light mode and my behavior is identical as in the video above. Interesting... would love to get an official word on this from FL.

In 9.2, I can immediately start typing after selecting Tools or Guide, but not for Docs. Try the new beta. I had requested this feature and am really happy that it works now.
Let's hope it also gets implemented in the Docs menu.

I'm still having this issue on 9.2 for both the Library button and the Docs button.

Mind you, I've been known to be a squeaky wheel ... but you do realize that you are probably only reaching other users -- users without the oil can to fix the squeak.

Is there a better way to report bugs directly to Logos? I was under the impression that the forums was the best place for that.

Once you have reported it and they have logged it into their system, they are unlikely to return to the forum thread until they mark it completed. They don't read all the posts. If they have never acknowledged your bug, it is common to start a new thread with a title starting with BUG: that directs them to the missed post.

If you need to report a bug, the best place to report it is in the desktop forum, not the suggestions forum.
