Don't understand the Look Up command

I am used to double-clicking on a word and Logos looks it up in my dictionary, Merriam-Webster 11th edition.

Today I did that in a commentary and it took me to the "That's Easy for You to Say: Your Quick Guide to Pronouncing Bilble Names" (the word was "parenetic" -- not a Bible name)

I've been poking around and notice that the "That's Easy" is the only option on my Look Up command for David Allen's commentary on Hebrews. In FF Bruce, the options are, in this order: Merriam Webster, New Strong's Guide, Strong's Concordance, NIV Biblical Theology Study Bible, and the NAS Updated Exhaustive Concordance...

So... what gives? Why all the references in one commentary and just one weird one in the other? Is there a way to standardize this across all my books?

I have no interest in the guide to pronouncing Bible names, BTW

It brings up the Merriam-Webster dictionary for me. It sounds like you've applied advance prioritization on it. It has no uncommon indices to give it special behavior.

I went to Merriam-Webster to look up the word manually, it doesn't have "paranetic" -- so I wonder if that has something to do with it?

Right clicking on another word in the same resource ("preceded") the Look Up command shows Merriam-Webster as first option

You don't say it is for the same word, so this must represent your Prioritization list. I prioritize Bible Dictionaries before Merriam Webster so that it catches the non-bible words, but my look up for "parenetic" found the same "That's Easy... resource, and I don't have it priortized!

This is because Logos will attempt a look up of your prioritized resources first and if it is not found it will look up resources that are included by default.

After thinking about it, that is the conclusion I came to. At first, I was confused, but it seems to be a feature not a bug. Though the "That's Easy..." resource seems a weird place to find parenetic, since it's not a proper name!

It is helpful that Logos tries to help us out when our main resources don't have the info.

This is what I do too. Here is a snapshot of that portion of my Prioritized Resource list, so only the mundane words get caught by Oxford or Merriam Webster dictionaries:

This is what I do too.

"The New Strong's Dictionary of Hebrew and Greek Words" is a Lexicon and it is only indexed by Strong's Numbers!. The "New Strong's Guide to Bible Words" is more suitable, especially for KJV words.
