Question: I want to find the number of references to an Old Testament book found in the New Testment. In this case, how many references to Genesis are found in the New Testment. How can this be done with Logos 6? Is it possible?
The easiest way to do this is using the "New Testament use of the Old Testament" interactive (part of LogosNow). You need to keep in mind, however, that there is not necessarily a consensus on every instance, especially in the "allusion" and "echo" categories.
If you don't have Logos Now, you can also count the occurrences as listed in Old Testament Quotes in the New Testament if you have it.
If you have Logos Now, the Concordance Tool would be a good way to go
If not, you could try a Basic search for <Gen> in a Bible of your choice. This will show you all identified cross-references (in both OT and NT)
