Compare TIP of the day: interactives - Parallel Gospel Reader

Crockett, William. A Harmony of Samuel, Kings, and Chronicles: The Books of the Kings of Judah and Israel. New York; Chicago; Toronto; London; Edinburgh: Fleming H. Revell Company, 1897.

1. The Interactive is open through the normal means - Tools, Library, Command Box. It opens in default view in synopsis sequence using your default Bible with the events closed.

2. When one expands a section, the text is shown with alternative accounts in parallel.

3. On can set the Bible to a translation or original language text.

4. One may show 1 to 3 columns in fixed order - 1-4 Kingdoms in LXX terms (1-2 Samuel, 1-2 Kings), The Chronicles, and Prophets/Wisdom literature.

5. An example in which all three columns have entries.

6. One may sequence the display in any of 4 sequences - the default synopsis order and any of the three columns in canonical order.

7. An example in Chronicles sequence.

8. If the sequence is one of the Biblical sequences, you may enter a Bible reference to go to a particular location. I chose an example that illustrates verse mapping in practice.

Orthodox Bishop Alfeyev: "To be a theologian means to have experience of a personal encounter with God through prayer and worship."; Orthodox proverb: "We know where the Church is, we do not know where it is not."
