Display error or dynamic pricing error?

I actually own both of these. I bought before you discovered you didn't have the rights to sell it to me. So the icon is missing. Is the dynamic price correct anyway?

    This is also very confusing:

How is it New to me if I already own it?

    EDIT:

Out of these 13 'New to me' titles, only 2 are actually new to me... [:S]

Makes the New to me view somewhat harder to browse... [;)]

I've seen similar issues as well.  "New to you" lists papal encyclicals that I already own as part of a larger set.  I think there is a glitch somewhere.

I haven't looked at everything, but I may have issues too.

I bought the Catechism some time ago, with no region-rights issues, and I see the same error.

And it's really annoying that you can't click on the images and get to the product pages! You expect me to buy expensive bundles/collections without checking what they include?

You have no idea how much self-restraint I showed in not posting that typo as I couldn't have refrained from inappropriate puns.

We've now got a "Homilies" section on the upgrade-offers page for everyone purchasing Verbum packages. [:$]

There is a known issue we're addressing with the Catechism of the Catholic Church.  The resource that is included in the Logos 7 base packages is technically different than the one we've sold in the past, though the content a user receives is exactly the same.  We're working on a fix to ensure those who own the old resource aren't required to purchase the new one.

The question around why some people are seeing collections that appear to be 100% owned when filtering the resources list by "New to me" is a little trickier to explain, but I'll give it a try.  This feature is working as we expected it to.

    • Resource Lists on Product Detail Pages and Comparison Charts – New to Me view
      • We’re traditionally shown a list of all the resources included in a base package, unless the package contained a collection of resources, in which case we displayed the collection
      • Now there are scenarios where we include portions of a collection within a base package.  We added a feature that lets us nest the individual resources below the collection itself.
        • We added a feature that displays the parent collection with a notice that “only some resources from this collection are included”.
        • We display ONLY the resources from the parent collection that are contained in the base package, along with either the current sale price for that resource or an “owned” note
        • Sometimes users are seeing a parent collection when filtering for “New to me” content, but then seeing all listed resources as “owned” – This happens when the user owns a resource included in the parent collection, but that resource is NOT included in the base package

Will a refund be offered to those who have made a double purchase?

We'll assess how to best accommodate users who purchased the resource they don't need when the fix is identified and implemented, but rest assured we'll make sure every customer is well taken care of.

To put this in perspective for everyone if a user owned Verbum 6 Master and was upgrading to Verbum 7 Gold, their dynamic price would have included $1.51 to cover the catechism resource.

[EDIT: Glenn posted while I working on my reply and covered most of it.]

    Tongue Tied

Steve, are you talking about papal encyclicals that are included in the 5-volume set edited by Claudia Carlen and included as individual resources in the new libraries (e.g., John XXIII's encyclicals in English) or a case where you own the exact resource being displayed? In the former case, the system doesn't really have a way of accounting for that kind of overlap. In the latter, if you can give a specific example, I can look at it.

I'll look into this, but I think these are distinct parts of the resource or syntax database that are (confusingly) given the same name in the system.

I'm thinking of the former 5-volume set.  I'm not sure what the specific overlap is.  My eye caught Humanae Vitae and Divino Afflante Spiritu which I have in in that set.  There may be others.  Let me do some detail comparison and post back to you.

    Louis,

I wanted to report back regarding my earlier questions and comments ...

I have not found any other overlap in the encyclicals other than the two I mentioned.

I truly appreciate your previous explanation .. I know that I can be a little detailed in my questions and replies.

The new Verbum base packages are looking very good in my view ... close to selecting one.
