WIVU Syntax or SESB 2.0 X 3.0

Does anyone knows if this statement is true:

"The WIVU Syntax Analysis of the Hebrew Bible is available as part of the German Bible Society's Stuttgart Electronic Study Bible 2.0 product."

This statement is from the Video CD for "Syntax Demonstration Video," from Logos.

The case is that I have SESB 2.0 and I want to use WIVU Syntax features, but it is not available in my L3 or L4. I though that only SESB 3.0 has the WIVU Syntax tools to perform a syntax search.

Does anyone have done syntax search with WIVU? Do you have SESB? What version?

Blessings

You cannot use WIVU for Syntax analysis in Logos 4. We hope this is available in an updated SESB 4.0, but this does not appear to be coming soon from the publisher. At one point if you search the forums you will see it was promised in 1Q 2011, the latest I remember seeing on here a few weeks ago is that they are looking at plans for 4.0 but nothing definitive yet.

You can look at the WIVU Constituency Trees in ver 4, but no syntax searching. You'll have to use Logos 3.0 for that (and it's not a Logos issue, although I am hoping they are trying to apply pressure to get this resolved with the publisher).

    Dear Dominick,

Thank you very much for this information. Too bad that we don't have WIVU syntax search on L4.

Now, do you know if SESB 2.0 should have the WIVU Constituency Trees, or if this feature is only for SESB 3? I can't see this in my Libronix 3 but the Logos video for syntax search says that it is in SESB 2 which I have already installed.

I don't really know for sure, as I went to SESB 3.0 quite a long time ago.  I can *guess* though; if anyone else knows for sure they can jump in.

I still have SESB 2,0 on my system, and it is copyrighted 2003.  There is only 1 WIVU Constituency Trees resource, and under the information icon it shows a citation of 2005, and a copyright of 2006. SESB 3.0 is copyright 2006. So while the resource wivugraphs.lbxclv could have been updated for SESB 3, the citation leads me to believe it came out after SESB 2. Also, if I go to Logos 3, and with SESB 3 installed, I pull up the Library and just type WIVU, I see the Constituency tree resource there. So if you have Logos 3 and SESB 2 and don't see it, it is probably not there.
