Because I am such a good husband, I have purchased an iPad for my wife for Christmas. Am I allowed to load the iOS app onto her iPad in addition to my own---both linked to my Logos account?
You can install the app on as many devices as you or your wife use.
I presume from what you say that your wife will be using the app linked to your account on her iPad.
Logos resources are all licensed to a single account so only one person should access them but exceptions are made for spouses - unless both are in ministry in which case it is expected that each would have their own account .

Faithlife EULA => https://www.logos.com/support/eula was updated some time after Bob Prichett (CEO) replied on 16 Jul 2009 => https://community.logos.com/forums/p/341/3265.aspx#3265 that includes:
We license the software to one user.
Faithlife apps and applications are designed for single user. Hence updating preferred Bible in one affects your apps and applications. Likewise notes, highlighting, resource reading location, course progress, etc.
FYI: personally have two Faithlife accounts. One has wallet crying [:'(] from purchases while the other has an order total of $ 0.00 that is useful for showing amazing free capabilities using Basic packages plus free resources, including Vyrso eBooks => https://vyrso.com/products/search?q=price%3A0&start=&sort=bestselling&pageSize=60&unlocked=no At times, Basic configuration is a bit quicker to use since library is 99 % smaller.

Do you and your wife share one cell phone, email address, etc ? (am aware of a couple with personal iPhones that share an Apple iTunes account so phone numbers, calendar, etc are shared while a different couple has different iTune accounts for their iPhones so purchases by primary account can be used by both).
Keep Smiling [:)]
This household sharing is accepted and fine although I would advise you to help honour the spirt buy both of you trying not to read the same book at the same time.. I say that because it honours the principle of one licence for the work and more so because you will likely find it maddening. as you open up your app hoping to continue on chapter 2 and it pops open to chapter 6 where your spouse it... the only really way to avoid this is to put x device in airplane mode to keep it away from being updated. And this is even far worse if you are not hoping to start at say chapter two but somewhere 2/3 the way through chapter 4 for example.

When I purchased Logos 7 Basic a couple of months ago I was told of the license exception which allows my wife to use it. (He suggested that we could avoid interfering with each other by setting up separate "Workspaces". However, I think that's a desktop feature and so far I've only used Logos on my iPad - and I haven't seen where you can do that in the limited iPad environment.)
Anyway, at this point my wife would like to be able to access some of the Logos material. If I understand the discussion thus far, I can load the software on her iPad as well as mine and I won't lose mine - we'll just basically be sharing the same resources. It seems to me that the tabs feature would allow for both of us to share the same layout but we could separatly access the resource we want to use without messing up the other person.
If my assessment makes sense to you, is it correct? Are there any tips on downloading the software to her ipad, or is it pretty simple? (I just don't want to unneccesarily mess up what I have on mine.)
Thank you!

Welcome [:D]
Thankful for free => Basic and => Verbum Basic along with free Logos resources => https://www.logos.com/products/search?q=price%3A0&Status=Live&start=&sort=bestselling&pageSize=60&unlocked=no and Vyrso => => https://vyrso.com/products/search?q=price%3A0&start=&sort=bestselling&pageSize=60&unlocked=no plus New Year 2018 free devotional bundle => https://www.logos.com/new-year
One option for your wife is creating a Faithlife account for her, which can access many resources (while avoiding sync surprises). Whether order total ever exceeds $ 0.00 is personal choice.

Suggest searching App Store for Faithlife, which will find many iOS apps by Faithlife Corporation. Thankful Apple allows a family to share an Apple ID or have individual Apple ID's (where primary account purchases can be downloaded on family member devices).
Well actually, she is interested in a particular resource included in the Logos 7 Basic software which I purchased. It wouldn't be included in a free account but only subsumed under my purchased account.
Thanks anyway.

Clarifying terminology: Logos 7 and Verbum 7 are software applications that do not include any library resources. Basic is a package of resources, which includes free "access-only" to many; albeit has no effect on dynamic pricing of subsequent purchases. A free account can "purchase" many Logos and Vyrso resources with an order total of $ 0.00 (Verbum resources can be purchased at Logos.com). Faithlife uses an account to associate resource licenses with human user.
Thankful Faithlife offers many Base Packages of resources => https://www.logos.com/products/search?Status=Live&pageSize=60&unlocked=no&Product+Type=Base+Packages (so my Logos library includes a variety of Base Packages)
Web apps => https://app.logos.com and => https://app.verbum.com are another way to access resources using internet. The iOS (and Android) mobile apps allow purchased resources to be downloaded for offline reading.
Hi Dan
I am a bit confused - you mention 'purchasing' Logos 7 Basic which is technically what you do but as it is a free resource it costs nothing.
Now there is nothing to stop you installing the app on your wife's iPad and letting her use your account - with all the caveats above.
However there is also nothing to pay if she purchases 'Logos Basic' and starts her own account.
The difference is with two accounts you cannot share resources.
Hi Mike and "Keep Smiling 4 Jesus".
I apologize, gentlemen, for confusing matters with incorrect terminology. It certainly doesn't facilitate your task of offering me help - which I greatly appreciate.
The correct terminology for what I purchased is "Logos Bible Software 7 Reformed Starter". So it is an actual purchase and has library resources not found in the free version.
I ended up going to the App Store on her iPad. I don't recall setting up Family Share but must have done so in the past since, when I searched for it, the Logos app showed up with the download icon. I simply downloaded it to her iPad. My entire library was available to her so she set up the particular item she was interested in and a Preferred Bible as a couple of tabs on her iPad app. We'll take small bites and may end up needing to work out some bugs, but so far, it looks like it will work just fine.
Thank you for your generous help
Glad to hear that you have things sorted out for the New Year.
I am sure that you will iron out any wrinkles over time.
Actually the new 'Tabs' facility may help with arrangements like yours as long as you steer clear of each other 'Tabs'.
every blessing and...

For clarification: Although your Logos license is for "one user," FL has interpreted that to include your spouse... however, please note: all settings and preferences sync. So when she sets her "preferred bible," it sets yours as well. When you highlight a resource, hers is highlighted to. The only way to get around this is to have two separate accounts.
Thank you again.
I do understand that what one of us does will affect what happens on the other's iPad, so at this elementary level we should be able to perform that dance easily enough. So far the iPad has been my primary platform for Logos, but it's been very enriching.
I've only begun to go through some of the training on the desktop version which is extremely powerful and has more tools than I can begin to understand. I hope to get a handle on some of that in my personal scripture study and growing in my relationship with Christ in his Word. (I'm not a pastor so sermon prep is not an issue, but I do help teach Sunday school and the expansive & integrated resouces in Logos should help me to be true to the historic, Biblical Christian faith.)
Thanks again.
