Microsoft update now Logos will not load up

It appears that the Windows update, SP-2 for .NET 3.5 causes Logos 4 to crash on the latest
Windows XP platform, or at least may cause it to crash.Solution: Go to Start > Settings > Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs, (or however you get to Add/Remove) check the box "show updates" and see if you can find KB976769v2 (.NET 3.5 SP-2 update) then uninstall it.
If Windows Update then says it wants to install it, decline.
This got L4 to run for me as of 6/14/10. The .NET update came out around 6/8 or 6/9 so this info could be obsolete at this point. It probably does not apply to Vista or WIndows 7 either.
Have a great day,

Thanks Dave, have run a disk check and all is okay there, I've had a hard drive fail before so regularly backup to external drive.
I have uninstalled the Beta version saved my resource folder and reloaded L4. On initial running all seems to be okay. I can open NIV Bible and homepage without crashes which was the original fault so it would appear they have been resolved.
I'll let you know if i develop any further problems.
Thanks all for your advice & help.

Things seem to be deteriorating, I'm not able to open Logos Beta at all now. Even holding down ctrl and selecting blank layout it crashes. see logs attached.66434.Logos4.log
I've got both logs, thanks. Let me know if you try any of the suggestions here and are able to get back in to the program.
