Creating specific collection shortcuts
Jerry M and Tim Engwer in separate posts both described a process to add shortcuts to specific collections in the shortcut bar. Despite following the process as closely as possible, I have not been able to replicate their results. I am wondering if this is a Mac problem. I am using the most current stable version.
Here are the steps I am following:
- open collections
- open the specific collection (Vyrso)
- drag the collections tab to the favorites panel (this creates a favorite called "Collections: Vyrso Books")
- drag the favorite link to the shortcut bar
No matter what I do, my Vyrso shortcut will open up my "Personal Books" collection. For what its worth, this is true no matter which collection I choose... "Personal Books" opens up.
I tried deleting the offending collection, but it did not work. Further, I deleted the collection that the link pointed to, and the shortcut found another one to link to. I ended up deleting all of my collections. When I rebuilt 2 of them, the shortcuts created BOTH point to the same collection.
Any thoughts?

Wondering if "Personal Books" was first collection created ?
In a different Logos 4.3 SR-5 on Mac installation, all Collection Favorites created on Mac opens "Fathers: Early Church" collection.

I don't remember. It may have been. Since I have been trying to trouble shoot this issue, I deleted all of my collections. The first collection I recreated was my Vyrso. It has now become the default "go to" shortcut (meaning all shortcuts go to it).
Thanks for verifying the problem. I guess it is a Logos 4 Mac problem. [:S]

I have been able to reproduce the issue (my 'Colección sin nombre' shortcut opens 'English Bibles') and will alert the media Development Department. [;)]

Using Logos 4.5b Beta 6 on Mac, can replicate issue: dragging a collection tab to Favorites creates a Favorites shortcut with the correct name, but clicking Favorite shortcut opens a different (older) collection.
Workaround is creating Favorite shortcut using Logos 4.5b Beta 6 on Windows then sync to Logos servers, followed by sync to Logos 4.5b Beta 6 on Mac.
