Some background: Today I bought http://www.logos.com/product/2764/true-spirituality - seemingly a good deal from March Madness. Or so I thought. However, this book is already contained in http://www.logos.com/product/153/the-complete-works-of-francis-a-schaeffer which I own. Knowing that the grey-button feature is not always reliable, I actually had searched my library for "True Spirituality" with no results before buying.

The reason is, the seemingly five volumes of "complete works" - which hold over twenty books - are just one resource for Logos. And no one cared to put the list of titles into the resource info field (where they definitely belong - and would be found by library searches). Okay, I wrote a resource review to alert others to be more diligent as I was. Then I thought, "I can remedy this myself - and beta test the Personal Book feature at the same time" - there you are. This small PB makes a linked index out of the Logos product page. It compiles without issues under Logos 4.5b Beta 5.

Picture for the resource:

Word doc: 6545.An Index of Francis Schaeffer.docx

KEY ITEM: title list to put into resource info field

·             The God Who Is There

·             Escape From Reason

·             He Is There and He Is Not Silent

·             Back to Freedom and Dignity

·             Genesis in Space and Time

·             No Final Conflict

·             Joshua and the Flow of Biblical History

·             Basic Bible Studies

·             Art and the Bible

·             No Little People

·             True Spirituality

·             The New Super-Spirituality

·             Two Contents, Two Realities

·             The Church at the End of the Twentieth Century

·             The Church Before the Watching World

·             The Mark of the Christian

·             Death in the City

·             The Great Evangelical Disaster

·             Pollution and the Death of Man

·             How Should We Then Live?

·             Whatever Happened to the Human Race?

·             A Christian Manifesto

just copy & paste:

Now I can locate Schaeffer's works in my library and directly jump to them.

So, if you find some day that there are a number of Schaeffer ebooks on Vyrso (four of them, as of today: http://vyrso.com/products/search?q=schaeffer&Author=Schaeffer%2c+Francis+A. ) you may ask your library whether you already own them or not - and if yes, start reading instantly!

Hope this helps,

Mick

Thanks for that, Mick.

The Table of Contents panel also serves much the same purpose, but doesn't have the titles of the volumes:

There is a complete Table of Contents at the beginning of the multi-volume book which has volume names, but there's no quick link to get to that page from the TOC panel:

So your PB combines the best of both worlds.

Thanks a lot. To me, the key thing (next to the mouse-over) was the book titles in the resource info - when I checked the Schaeffer Vyrso books back when they arrived, I used Ctrl-F to determine which of them are in the "Complete Works" and which not. Thus I learned that complete may not be complete - so I think a library search should bring up what I own.

Probably I'm just dense, but is the "Resource Info Field" the same as the Description box?

Guess so - in finished resources it appears when you click the top-right (i) button that's labeled "Resource Information". I put a red square around the box/field in my screenshot above.
