Some books that ought to be useful for just about anyone, whatever their denomination:

  • Raymond Brown et al: Mary in the New Testament. A Collaborative Assessment by Protestant and Roman Catholic Scholars. (Augsburg)
  • Raymond Brown et al: Peter in the New Testament. A Collaborative Assessment by Protestant and Roman Catholic Scholars. (Augsburg)
  • Growth in Agreement. Reports and Agreed Statements of Ecumenical Conversations on a World Level. (Paulist & WCC) (Includes most important ecumenical documents up to about 1982)
  • Whatever volume[s ] are needed to bring that one up to date.
