Some books that ought to be useful for just about anyone, whatever their denomination:

Raymond Brown et al: Mary in the New Testament. A
Collaborative Assessment by Protestant and Roman Catholic
Scholars. (Augsburg)
Raymond Brown et al: Peter in the New Testament. A
Collaborative Assessment by Protestant and Roman Catholic
Scholars. (Augsburg)

Growth in Agreement. Reports and Agreed Statements of
Ecumenical Conversations on a World Level. (Paulist & WCC)
(Includes most important ecumenical documents up to about 1982)
Whatever volume[s ] are needed to bring that one up to date.
