Not Seeing Excerpts on Home Page
I'm not seeing any resource excerpts on my home page. This happened once before. The solution then was shift-F5, but that's not working now.

Have you already tried unchecking and checking again the "Excerpts" box in "Customize"?

Pam, Try holding down shift + F5. This will reset your homepage cache. I have had this happen before!

There are a couple of warnings and errors in that log file right around where Logos is generating the excerpts for the home page (click to see full size):
I'm not sure how to interpret the Warn and Error lines, and I don't know why the "Failed to delete..." lines are only listed as Info rather than Warn or Error. But those "Failed..." lines are the only things that give me an idea of what you might try. See if you can manually delete any folders inside C:\Users\Pam\AppData\Local\Logos4\Data\mz4qolm5.1u2\HomePage. Perhaps they are stuck as read only or in use by another process. Have you rebooted your computer since this problem started happening? Try that and then delete those sub-folders before starting Logos again.
Also you might need to follow up with Logos tech support to find out what those Errors mean. They are referring to resource ID LLS:29.2.5, which is Old Testament Survey Series: The Wisdom Literature and Psalms. The line right after them is "Info ExcerptHomePageItemProvider 0 excerpt items created." which tells me that the errors are the ultimate reason why the excerpts failed to be generated. But why, I don't know.
Any other MVPs have a clue about this, or must we defer to the geniuses behind the code?

Thanks, Rosie. I tried deleting the home page files, but that didn't work either. I guess I can wait until the geniuses get back to work. [8-|]

Wonder about closing Logos 4, then delete everything inside folder 'C:\Users\Pam\AppData\Local\Logos4\Data\mz4qolm5.1u2\HomePage' followed by opening Logos 4 ? (e.g. folder 2011-03-20_4.21.5.905 or 2011-03-21_4.21.5.905)

Good suggestion, but it didn't work. [:)] I did notice that this resource doesn't have page numbers - wonder if that confuses the excerpt provider?

This set of issues should be resolved in 4.5 Beta 8, which will be available for beta testing soon. The fix will be included when 4.5 ships to the stable channel. Please let us know if you continue to see this problem at that time.
