BUG: 4.3 Beta 2 refuses login password
Installed L4.3 Beta 2 from 4.2a SR-3. Installation proceeded normally until restart. Login returned an invalid password notice. After several attempts, I clicked the reset password link, received the email and reset the password to its original value which I have used since becoming a Logos customer in 2003.
Beta 2 still refused to allow login. This user ID and password work for the stable version and the Logos website. For now, I give up on these Betas.
Here are the logs, although I don't know how much help they can be since the application never opened.

Yes. I had no problem logging in from the stable version prior to installing Beta 2. After reinstalling the stable version, I again had no problem logging in.

We'll look at your logs. I've been able to sign in without problem with this beta, and I haven't seen any other reports of a problem. I'll update this thread when I know more.

Jack, what version of Mac OS X are you running on this system?

Thank you Melissa. Guess I will sit out Beta 2, or install it on my laptop which had Snow Leopard installed. However, that is usually my "don't mess this one up" system.

I had a problem with this as well. What I found was that when I went to type in the password box the Keyboard Input would switch from English to Greek and wouldn't let me switch back - I posted this on the regular L4M forum as well. It took a few times a reboots to discover what was happening - I notices when I went to key in something else and was suddenly typing in Greek ?!?!? Which was invisible since the password is hidden as you type it in. I needed to switch off all other language input options in the system settings.

I will see if I can duplicate this problem on my Mac.

It doesn't do that anymore. I just bought up the login screen, and reentered the password, and it didn't switch the keyboard over. I'm wondering if something happened when I uninstalled the current Beta to go back to the stable version? Or it may have just been one of those inexplicable computer moments....

Wiki Logos 4.3 Beta 3 page has: "Fixed a Sign In authentication problem for systems with Mac OS X 10.5.x."
Wonder if downloading http://downloads.logos.com/LBS4/LBS4MacInstallerBeta/Logos4Mac.dmg and installing Logos 4.3 Beta 3 fixes login issue ?
Keep Smiling [:)]
