Last October I released Justin Martyr's first apology from this collection (see http://community.logos.com/forums/t/57470.aspx)  Since then I have created personal version of the rest of this collection - if there is demand, I can share the Athenagoras and (Tiny) Irenaeus sections as well.

But in my opinion, the Apostolic Fathers are more important.  Probably the highlight for me in this collection is hearing the faith of some of these figures on their way to Martyrdom (Ignatius) or reports of their martyrdom (Polycarp).

This is not a full collection of the Apostolic Fathers - Barnabas, Hermas, and Papias are missing.  But these are quite readable translations, with solid introductions for the remaining works.  The Bibliographies were great in 1953, but that was sixty years ago...

In the original book, the chapter and verse numbers were in the margins.  For this edition, Chapter numbers are in Bold and verse numbers are in superscript.  This admittedly can be a bit confusing with footnotes as well, but usually the context is clear, and footnotes are links anyway.

For the Martyrdom of Polycarp, the Logos Apostolic Fathers Datatype didn't quite match the versification in this editon for the last chapter (MPoly 23 which is only in some manuscripts)  I tagged it to be the same as Lake's edition, which seemed to be the closest in versification to this.

Source is from CCEL.  I have tried to renumber the footnotes, so they match the printed edition.   I also redid a 4 column table in footnote #3 on page 207 into a 2 column one that should handle the various wrapping dimensions of an ebook better.

Ken this is great! Thank you!

Did you go through and painstakingly do this all manually? Or do you own some amazing software that puts in footnotes and table of contents/chapters automatically?

I do it manually - but of course use cut and paste and the like to cut down on typing quite a bit.  This one was "easy" since the proofed text is at CCEL, but I still manually added footnotes, page tags, datatype tags, links, etc.
