Athenagoras' Plea

It looks like there is interest in the rest of the book.  Athenagoras is ready, but I want to check a few things in Irenaeus sections.

For whatever reasons, this work was not really that influential.  Much of the material is covered in other apologies. Probably most significant is chapter 10 as a primary source for the history of Trinitarian thought.  But it does what it does with a polished rhetorical flair - probably more polished than other 2nd century works.

Again, the text is from CCEL's edition of Richardson's work.  I would like to thank Rosie for her PB which referenced this work, since that was what let me get my toe in the door, so to speak, into handling this datatype.

    Ken,

    Thank you!

Do I need to merge the files myself, or are you planning to upload the whole file?

PB's do not work that well with ENDING a link, and so I have them as separate books on my system.  I do not plan on sending a merged file, but if you wish, you can add the individual files together and compile as one book.

I recently got Reformed Starter, and the Institutes in that package is from The Library of Christian Classics - as is this. However, when I originally compiled this, I put the series as "Library of Christian Classics" instead of "The Library of Christian Classics". And so I figured I would update it to have the "official" series title in my setup, and in the process looked at the source. The big change is that the footnote numbers now match the print edition. In addition a few links have been added, and a few foreign languages have been tagged, and A.D. and B.C. are in small caps, like the print edition.

Thanks again for this.  This cover might work for the whole series:
