When I first clicked on the margin options, options popped up, disappeared, and aren't available now. Appears to be a bug.

I see a difference in your two screen shots, but the windows one doesn't look any better to me. Here is what I have:

1. Where in the Margins area are you clicking? I'm noticing the hit-box is kind of odd, and will make a case about that. This being said, whenI click in the top half of the (around the word Normal) and the top part of the paper image, the options appear.
2. Can you provide the name of the book you're looking at here and if you've increased the font size for it in the panel, or overall in the text and to what?

What, then, is the purpose of the triangle on the right side of the box?

Clicking that triangle should bring the margin options down, but it shouldn't be required. The entire darkened gray area should work, and as I stated before, the process is a little inconsistent. I'm submitting this to development. I failed to mention that in my previous post.
I'm linking to this thread, so when it is fixed someone from the testing department will notify you all.

Thanks for confirming. I just switch to the new MacBookPro 15" Retina ... so I was not sure if the resolution have the hardware might be an issue. Thanks.

If you see the 2 screen shot carefully, the mac version the footnote gets truncated, Windows version is rendered correctly from a page formatting point of view.

Thank you Problem (1) on margin selection bug is fixed. However, problem (2) Cut-Off at the bottom of the page is not fixed. Please see my original post at the top. This is the screen shot with Logos 5.2 SR-4

In 5.2a Beta 2, the entire page is displayed, although the bottom line is at the very end of the page.

Jack,
Thanks for the heads up on Logos 5.2a Beta 2 ... What is your margin settings like (?), it appear to me it is still a bug on Mac [:(]
My screen shot of the same passage from ESV in Logos 5.2 SR4 for Win is perfect as below (unlike the screenshot on Mac):

Margins are set to "Narrow". My previous screenshot was from 5.2a Beta 2 on Mac OS 10.9.1. It looks just like your Windows screenshot. So the bug has been fixed in 5.2a beta. Have no idea how long before this becomes the stable version.

Logos,
This has not been fixed yet [:(] I am on Logos 5.2 SR-6 on Mac.
Hopefully, the following screenshots of the various permutations will help you finally nail this bug. Focus on the bottom part of each of the printing permutation.
Variables I used for the various the Permutation.
- Fullscreen Mode or Windowed Mode
- US Letter or A4
- Margins: Normal, Narrow and Moderate
For easier reference I will organize them into 4 groups of Screen Shots
- Full Screen, US letter for each of the 3 Margin option
- Windowed, US Letter for each of the 3 Margin option
- Full Screen, A4 for each of the 3 Margin Option
- Windowed, A4 for each of the 3 Margin Option
1a. Full Screen, US letter, Margin - Normal
1b. Full Screen, US letter, Margin - Narrow
1c. Full Screen, US letter, Margin - Moderate
2a Windowed, US Letter , Margin - Normal
2b Windowed, US Letter , Margin - Narrow
2c Windowed, US Letter , Margin - Moderate
3a. Full Screen, A4, Margin - Normal
3b. Full Screen, A4, Margin - Narrow
3c. Fullscreen, A4, Margin - Moderate
4a. Windowed, A4, Margin - Normal
4b. Windowed, A4, Margin - Narrow
4c. Windowed, A4, Margin - Moderate
Hoping to see this fixed as soon as possible. Thank you.

It is correct—and prints correctly—in 5.2a Beta 5. It has been fixed, and you will have it when 5.2a is released to the stable channel—unless you want to install the Beta.

Hi all,
[:(] I am running Logos for Mac 5.2a Release Candidate 1 (5.2.1.0063), the Print and Export issue has not been fixed, which was supposed to have been fixed in Beta(?). It appeared to be worse ... more real estate gets chop off at the bottom (A4 Page format).
Look forward for this to be fixed ... for the time being my work around is to run Logos on Windows 8.1 on Parallels 9.0 that I was hoping to get rid off [:(]

Hi LimJK, from looking at your screenshots, it looks like you just need to scroll the preview down - there's a scrollbar on the right side in all of them. Since your monitor/window is smaller than the full page preview, you have to scroll down to see the full page.
Is there an issue beyond this? Are the pages printing correctly?
The only difference I saw between Mac and Windows is that Windows will scale the preview to always fit fully in the screen, while Mac displays the full page size and will instead give a scrollbar at smaller window sizes by default. If you right-click the print preview, you can choose to Automatically Resize which will fit the full page in your window, or just Zoom Out until you can see the full page.

Dylan,
Thank you for your reply [:)]. I did not realized that there was a scroll bar on the right side of the preview screen on the previous version until you mentioned it [:$]. By the way the visual cue of the scroll bar on the right is not there anymore until you scroll for the current version.

Yes, thank you [:)]

Some thoughts:
- Why not make it CONSISTENT between the Logos Windows and Logos Mac Version?
- I thought the purpose of the Preview page is to help user see if the FORMATTING is what we expect before we print. That is why Logos scale the page in the first place, so what I do not understand is, why not scale it all the way to fit a full page, why leave a few lines hidden for user to scroll [:(]
- Also, If I recalled correctly all the other Apps that I used that has a preview for printing, they will always show the (WYSIWYG what you see is what you get) Full Page scaled within the page for Windows and Mac. Just to name a few: Word, Pages, Adobe Acrobat Reader, Preview, etc.
Therefore, I was not expecting that I need to scroll to see a preview page [:)]

That explains why I could not confirm your bug report. I was viewing it on a 27" iMac.

On the subject of Mac printing, is there a way to get Logos to default to A4 for those of us outside the US?

Good luck! I reported the fact that Logos doesn't remember my choice as a bug over two years ago, and nothing has happened yet...

+1
Interestingly on the same Print & Export Screen, the Margin type (Normal, Narrow, etc ) selection is remembered [Y]. It will be great if Logos can remember the Paper Size too.
The "discrimination" of "A4" vs "US Letter" paper size has been there since the days of good old Libronix [:(]
The "A4" vs "US Letter" issue also happened within the Apps / Reports. As an example in those days when there was this nice Printing of Flash Card function. The layout of 8 or 10 flash cards per page does not consider the existence of A4 paper [:(] the issue disappeared with the disappearance of that function. Hopefully this will be dealt with some time. I think I reported it in 2009 or much earlier.

The case for this is still active, but has recently been "bumped" to reconsider the timeline. We'll update the thread when it is fixed.
