BUG: Library Window display issues
L5.2a Beta 1 Mac OS 10.9.1
Originally set up Library display showing type, last updated, series, etc in addition to the ones shown in this screenshot. The compression and loss of fields occurs every time L5 is restarted. Been there from day, just have not become irritated enough to report until now.

I can't confirm what you see on the Windows side, so it seems to be a Mac-bug.
However, there's another one connected with the Library, which may have not been reported: at least for me, it's impossible to sort the filtered library by rank.

L5.2a Beta 1 Mac OS 10.9.1
My Library window stays exactly how I left it between restarts of Logos, so this doesn't appear to be a Bug on all Mac setups.
Sorry [:S]

Interesting. Must need further investigation.

Dave, if I understand your other thread right, the issue is about seeing the rank column and moving it to a proper place. My point is the functionality:
I filter for something like dictionary of evangelical theology (which I know is not a string nor a title, but an AND search over all fields.) and the rank algorithm gives some indication what I might search. No issue with that, only that I would expect to have the library sorted by that and maybe reverse, too. Doesn't look like, does it? And clicking the triangle again to re-sort doesn't do anything (there was exactly the same bug when they introduced ranks in the website wishlist - code re-usage?)
EDIT: a nice example I just came accross: concordia

There is an active case for this issue, I'll add a link to this thread so we'll let you know when it's fixed.

I was able to reproduce once, but it isn't resetting every time I restart the app. I've made a case, hopefully a dev can figure out what's going on. [:)]

I was able to reproduce that in v5.2 as well as the Beta, but the v5.2 behaviour is not consistent so the functionality needs to be re-examined.

That's the bug (acknowledged above). But a lot of other Library functionality was nuked in this Library "enhancement' (and I saw something new after battling to get my columns to appear as they were in v5.2).

In case it helps you, I don't think this is entirely new in the beta. I have a similar bug in stable. I usually keep my Type column as narrow as possible, and only widen it when I need to see it. Some weeks ago I did just that, and since then it insists on opening wide every time I've restarted, no matter how many times I narrow it down again. Other columns have also behaved like this from time to time.

Perhaps this is the result of some sort of interaction between L5 Mac and L5 Win. I have 5.2a Beta 1 installed in the Mac OS. For a backup, I run 5.2 SR-3 Win under Parallels.
I closed all apps and restarted my iMac (gasp!). Opened 5.2a Beta 1 Mac twice, and the Library window opened as I left it each time. Quit L5 Mac and opened L5 Win. Quit L5 Win and restarted L5 Mac. The Library window now appears as in the OP of this thread.
Have also noted that when I update a layout in L5 Mac which as floating windows on the secondary display, these windows will be clipped when the layout is displayed in L5 Win.
I can usually—though not always—click on the window and close it with Control-W. It will then open with a full window displayed. Let me know if you need further information. This interaction seems consistent.

From your description, this seems to be a different problem. Maybe you need a new thread.
My spell checker still does not like you, and Safari does not offer an option to turn off auto correct, which is quite annoying.

This should be fixed in 5.2a Beta 4.
The Rank column will now properly sort by Rank when clicked, and the result #s will no longer jump (1, 24, 40, etc) or repeat themselves.

Will take your word for this since I no longer need to run L5 Win
