Bug(Mac): Crash when Docking Library Tab
Logos ( for John Brainard )
After receiving your email inquiring on my Crash, I decided to TURN ON my log and try to recreate the steps to Crash Logos 5.2a RC2. Thankfully(?), it crashed as expected.
Open Logos 5 (with default Home Page - noticed that it is taking well in excess of 1 minute to load)
Open Library in Floating Window immediately (don’t wait for Home page to finish loading)
Sort by Series (My Library is already sorted by Series when I open it)
Dock Library Tab -> Crash

Logos,
Further test
Crashed happened whether Home page is still loading or Loaded, sounds like Home page is not a suspect.
If Open Library in a New Tab then followed by Opening this tab as a floating Window, every thing seems to be OK.
Summary:
- Start Logos
- Open Library in a Floating Window
- Dock the Library Tab -> Crashed
PS: My Library already sorted by Series by default

Logos,
Some more further testing
How the Library is sorted by Series or no is not a suspect for now; they all crashed. Hopefully this is help the developer find the bug, fix it and release 5.2a :-)

Logos,
Looks like this crash is more widespread that I initially thought
Open BibleFacts in a Floating Windows.
... I explored on the various family tree of Noah
Just for the fun of it, Dock this tab - > Crash

Recreated crash on my MBP....and yes, it only happens when Home Page is loading or open.
(fortunately I almost never use L5 with the Home page open)

Logos,
Now that I came back home, the following is the summary of WHAT floating Windows when Dock CRASH Logos 5.2a RC2:
- Library
- Search
- Guide
- Passage Guide
- Exegetical Guide
- Word Study Guide
- Sermon Starter Guide
- Topic Guide
- My Passage Guide
- Tools
- BibleFacts
The following is the summary of WHAT Floating Windows when Dock, DOES NOT cause Logos 5.2a RC2 to crash:
- Documents (I have tried various document types) seem to be OK
- Tools (everything else is OK except BibleFacts)
This occurs / tested only in Logos 5.2a RC2 on Mac (Windows seems to be OK). Each time when I Start Logos 5 followed by Opening the offending Apps in a Floating Window.
Hopefully this will give the developers enough lead to investigate :-)
PS: For each of those crashes that happened, when there is a dialogue to ask me to describe what I did before the crash. I described as best as I can and send off ... Lots of them :-)

Could not confirm this crash using 5.2a RC-2 Mac in the Desktop. Could this only affect MBPs?
Did notice a curiosity that may be connected. When the Library is docked by clicking the yellow button, the Home Page disappeared to be replaced by the current layout.
Set Logos to start with Home Page, Library docking proceeded without any incident. Switched to a layout, then to Home Page, Library docking presented no problem. Changed preference back to open with last local layout. No problems with Library docking with or without the Home Page. Could not duplicate the anomaly mentioned in the previous paragraph.

Hi Jack [:)]
Just to clarify, when I said I Dock this Tab, I mean Right Mouse Click on the Library Tab, and select Dock this tab as shown below:
I think clicking the "Yellow" button is not Docking the Floating Window, it Minimize the Floating Window, so it will not be visible. To bring in back you need to Click Window on the Menu bar to find it.

Otto,
You are right, if I Start Logos 5.2a RC2 WITHOUT Home Page, no Crashing. Whatever that I have reported has Home Page Loaded or Loading.

Gotcha. I assumed the Mac System dock.
1 Opened L5 to last used layout—which has floating Library on a secondary display.
2 Cmd-Opt-H to bring the Home Page to the front
3 Right-Click Library tab, and selected Dock This Tab.
4 Logos froze with the gloriously spinning pizza
5 Took a sample with the Logos Logging Utility
3247.LogosLogs.jackcav.20140329-111720.zip
6 Forced Logos to quit from the Activity Monitor
5756.LogosLogs.jackcav.20140329-112007.zip
7 Interesting that Logos did not request a crash report upon restart.
