Less timeline events after 8/29 update?
Hello,
I just received an update to the Universal Timeline Database. Prior to this update I had 11,525 events on my timeline. After the update I only have 5,782 timeline events. What happened? Did Logos take away 5,743 events? Please help.

Welcome to the forums! I have 11,754 now. Maybe the resource didn't download properly? You don't have any filters on do you?

I've filed a bug report for someone to look into this.

That was actually the first thing I checked (and double checked). No filters, just fewer timeline events.
For info I can reproduce this on 5.2b SR1 (though am aware I am still indexing after doing the resource update) but don't see this on 5.3 b1 with the same version of the db on each

You can fix this by manually installing 5.2b SR-2 from the links in this announcement post: http://community.logos.com/forums/t/88169.aspx
This will be fixed automatically when 5.2b SR-3 is shipping. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Hi Bradley
I have updated via the link and the timeline events have been restored.
Thanks, Graham

Should everyones timeline have the same number? Mine is showing 11,575.

I have the exact number Glenn had before his update (I haven't updated). Sounds like a standard database.

I have 11, 752 just to toss in yet another option. I know I lack several resources that are tagged for the timeline.

If this hasn't changed: http://community.logos.com/forums/p/60565/430074.aspx#430074
The timeline is fixed for all users. I wonder, though, if Verbum vs Logos accounts for the other differences?

Clarifying and partially answering myself:
Setting Verbum to Yes shows 11,752, similar to MJ (11,752) and Don (11,754).
Setting Verbum to No shows 11,573. similar to everyone else (who didn't have a corrupt install). Yesterday this number was 11,575, but I also had to do a restore on this system for an unrelated issue.
Despite the setting of Verbum there does seem to be a variation of 2 between users who share the same setting. Not sure why???

I now have exactly 5,782 events as well. Version 5.2b SR-1 (5.2.2.1496).
EDIT: I now have 11,573 events after manually installing SR-2.

Thanks for the help Brad.
How long before I can turn my automatic updates back on?

You can turn them back on now. (They never needed to be turned off; what happened is that we stopped distributing SR-2 automatically from our servers.)
